One Piece supporters knew Rayleigh was a great fighter from the moment he made his first appearance in Sabaody Archipelago.
Rayleigh made a prominent return in the above chapter. This is why his fans are excited for him. He’s strong enough to take on Blackbeard from Amazon Lily.
Rayleigh does not need a Devil Fruit in order to have a frightening reputation. Luffy learned Haki only through his teaching methods. Rayleigh is proficient in all aspects of that fighting system. He can handle most One Piece characters despite his age.
Rayleigh shouldn’t face trouble with these One Piece characters
4) Marco, the Phoenix
Rayleigh and Marco first met in their youth when they were both young, back when the Roger Pirates were rivals. Both were first mates in their respective crews of the One Piece series.
Rayleigh is a strong fighter using basic Haki techniques. He is capable of fighting Logia Devil Fruit Users like Kizaru. This is useful against Marco’s Devil Fruit which allows him to conjure Phoenix flames. Marco can also alter his body composition just like a Logia user.
Rayleigh can keep up with Marco’s regenerative abilities and is fast enough to keep up. Roger’s first mate could inflict major damage using advanced Busoshoku Haki. Rayleigh is able to avoid the phoenix flames and can attack Marco directly without touching him.

3) Boa Hancock
One Piece Chapter 10559 is a great showcase for Boa Hancock. She can fight off many Blackbeard Pirates all by herself. Hancock even turned several of them to stone using her Devil Fruit.
Rayleigh needs to be cautious as a single kick from her could turn him into stone. He is not prone to romantic feelings and will resist her Mero Mero no Mi. Rayleigh can also use Kenbunshoku Haki for predicting her attacks.
Rayleigh is armed with years of combat experience and Hancock will put up a strong fight.
2) Crocodile
Logia Devil Fruits can be a powerful power-up in the One Piece series. Crocodile is a strong villain who can control and create sand. Crocodile can alter his body composition to resist being hit.
Logia users can be countered in One Piece. Rayleigh can easily bypass Crocodile’s defenses if he has the right amount of Haki. Crocodile has not yet used Haki in the One Piece series. Rayleigh’s skills can accomplish far greater feats than his.
1) Roronoa Zoro
Zoro is on his way to becoming the best swordsman in the world. Zoro recently learned how Haoshoku Haki can be applied to his most powerful attacks. Kaido is a rare creature that sustains serious injuries, but Zoro can permanently scar him.

Rayleigh and Zoro are an ideal matchup. Their Kenbunshoku Haki is not the same. Rayleigh is aware of his future capabilities, but Zoro isn’t. Because he taught Luffy these advanced techniques, he can probably use them.
Zoro must eventually surpass Rayleigh. First, he must master Kenbunshoku Haki. This will not happen until the end of One Piece.
Only a select few One Piece fighters can defeat Rayleigh in combat
4) Edward Newgate – Whitebeard
Rayleigh needs to be aware of Roger’s past rival. Whitebeard has complete field control thanks to the Gura Gura no Mi. Whitebeard can unleash powerful earthquakes from any location on the battlefield.
Whitebeard held the title of “strongest man” in the world even after his death. He fought many Admirals during the Summit War, and withstood numerous attacks that would have killed an average person. Rayleigh has not yet shown this endurance in the One Piece Series.
Roger could be his equal in fights during his prime years. Whitebeard should at the most be slightly stronger than his first mate. Rayleigh is strong but Rayleigh doesn’t have the same physical stats.
3) Monkey D. Garp
Rayleigh’s capabilities have been demonstrated to the Vice Admiral. Garp chased his captain many decades ago.
One Piece lovers should know that Roger considers Garp to be a worthy competitor. They should have similar power levels. Rayleigh should also be able to defeat Garp.
Garp will win despite the exhausting match. He uses Busoshoku Haki to combine with his physical strength. Garp’s muscle power also proved to be a tremendous strength. Garp can lift enormous iron balls and climb mountains without any issues.
2) Gol D. Roger
One Piece fans should find this matchup quite obvious. Roger is the captain and Rayleigh is his first mate. Based on their titles, it seems that the Pirate King is strong enough to defeat his crewmates.
Rayleigh might not be able to take him down, but that is not to say he wouldn’t. He is known as a master of Haki, and is considered a legend. Roger would be his opponent, leaving behind a trail of Haki by simply moving his weapon. A Supreme Grade Sword is also used by the Pirate King.
Rayleigh and Roger are two of the most powerful One Piece characters. Roger would be the victor if they had to fight each other. He wouldn’t be captain of his ship if he didn’t.

1) Rocks D. Xebec
Roger’s most formidable opponent in the One Piece series is Rocks. This is a testament to his power. Roger was not even considered the biggest competitor by Whitebeard, which speaks volumes.
He was ruled by Rocks, along with Kaido (Big Mom). He was the commander of an entire crew of future Emperors.
Even if Rayleigh was in his prime, Rocks would be a much stronger opponent. All of this is based on Rayleigh’s flashbacks. To defeat Rocks, Roger had to team up with Garp.
