About

Fandom deserves better writing.

NNTheBlog is an independent publication for people who love anime, manga and pop culture too much to settle for surface-level summaries.

We write for the fans in the deep end.

There are a lot of blogs about anime. Most of them are quick recaps, clickbait rankings, or scraped summaries designed to rank on Google. That is fine — they serve a purpose. We do something different.

NNTheBlog exists for the reader who already watched the episode, who finished the manga volume, who beat the boss, and who wants to go deeper. Character motivations, power-scaling debates, narrative symbolism, lore contradictions, the Easter eggs you missed the first time — that is where we live.

We started in 2020 as a side project and have grown into a multi-language publication covering 1,400+ articles across anime, live-action series and games. We write what we would want to read.

What we cover

Our four main beats, with a shared obsession for going deeper than the Wikipedia plot summary.

Anime deep dives

Character studies, story arc analyses, world-building and fan theories examined with primary-source rigor.

Naruto, One Piece, AOT, Demon Slayer, JJK, MHA, Chainsaw Man and 30+ more.

Power rankings & versus

Who beats who, ranked with feats, not vibes. Every claim cites an episode, chapter or fight.

Top 10s, strongest-in-universe lists, 1v1 breakdowns.

Game guides & lore

Walkthroughs, farming guides and lore breakdowns — the intersection of utility and obsession.

Final Fantasy X, FFXIV — more coming.

Live-action & adaptations

Episode reviews and season analyses for the shows we watch when we are not watching anime.

The Boys, Stranger Things, Marvel, Star Wars, Obi-Wan, Ms Marvel.

How we work

Four steps, one standard: claims only survive if we can cite them.

  1. 01

    Research from primary sources

Manga chapter, episode timestamp, game script. We quote from the actual work, not from other fan sites. When we cite, we cite with a reference you can verify.

  2. 02

    Write for depth, not length

Articles run as long as the argument requires — and no longer. No SEO padding, no repetition for word-count, no "as we said earlier" filler.

  3. 03

    Fact-check claims

Every power-scaling claim, every "first appearance", every canonical status is verified before publishing. If we are not certain, we say so.

  4. 04

    Update as stories continue

New arc? New season? We update affected articles and stamp the revision date at the top so you know the piece reflects current canon.

What we stand for

Three promises we make to every reader.

01

No AI slop.

We use AI tools for drafting assistance, translation and research acceleration — but every article is reviewed, edited and signed off by a human who actually watched the show. We do not publish pure LLM output, ever.

02

Fan-respectful, fan-critical.

We love these stories — and that is why we do not grade on a curve. A weak arc is called out. A retcon is acknowledged. Praise lands harder when it is honest.

03

Backlinks are promises.

If you linked to us three years ago, your link still works. We preserve URL structures religiously — migrations happen without breaking the web.

Spot something off? Have a pitch?

We read every message. Corrections, story ideas, or just arguing over whether Saitama beats Rimuru — we are here for it.
