Recap of this SEASON

In 1962 Ken Kesey published the critically acclaimed novel One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. Jack Nicholson adapted it into a great movie. The story is a critique of psychiatry and explores the human mind. The story, Everything Calls For Salvation, explores these themes in 7 deeply felt and heartbreaking episodes.
It’s easy to binge-watch this Italian Netflix series, but the first half can be slow as you get introduced to the various characters. This is a great game that pays off late in the game.
Daniele is the protagonist of this story. He is a wild child who drinks and does drugs every weekend. He stumbles home, falls asleep on his bed and wakes up in a psychiatric ward. Our main character is unable to adjust due to Dani’s 7-day stay and his family being angry. Salvation Ending

Each chapter is broken down into 7 days. What starts as reluctance or disgust soon turns into genuine love and affection. Dani is joined by a group that has big personalities and big hearts. Gianluca, Madonnina, Giorgio, and Mario are all part of this adventure, along with Nina, who is in a nearby ward. These supporting characters are one of the best parts of this series, so I won’t give too much information.
There are some truly beautiful moments here, as well as a few genuine tear-jerking moments. These small moments of gold add up over the season and lead to a heart-wrenching finale.
Everything Calls for Salvation looks great visually. The flashbacks and some nice montages are also well integrated into the series. It also knows when to stop the music. The series uses silences during key parts of the story just as well.

This is an Italian series that’s well-written and deeply felt. This Netflix series is slow at first, but if you are willing to persevere, it will tug at your heartstrings. This is certainly one of the biggest surprises this year, and it’s well worth a look.
Everything Calls For Salvation Ending Explained

All of them, from Nina to Daniele, came to the psychiatric unit to be rescued. To be rescued from long-lasting trauma, violence, self-deterioration and the pain of rejection. Although it may not be the best place to find a cure for your illness, I believe that this is the right place to go if you want to deal with the problems in your life.
Interacting with others and understanding their pain can help one feel less alone. Ultimately, accepting the weaknesses of others makes it easier to accept yours. This helps you be more compassionate towards others.
The series helped patients understand each other’s problems and not judge them. After seven days, they saved one another. Mario, who wanted to be free from all the shackles and chains, was saved by God. Although I do not believe he deserves it, death is inevitable. Mario’s fall from the window caused the rest of the ward to be distraught. Because life had to go on, they were each released one at a time from the facility. Alessandro appeared in his dreams on the last night. He encouraged him to complete his poetry. Daniele finished the poem and read it at Mario’s funeral. Daniele stated, “Everything calls for me to salvation.”

Mario seemed calm and happy on the outside, but he was suffering from the terrible ruin of his past. Like Daniele, Mario became aggressive towards his family after his breakdown. He fell from the window. He died after only a few days, even though he was admitted to the hospital. Daniele found out about his death and believed Mario was free from his agonizing pain. He dedicated his last poem to Mario, and to his salvation. According to the Bible, persecution of Jesus Christ caused pain and misery.
This is how humanity was saved. Daniele used the term “salvation” to suggest that Mario’s death should not be viewed as a tragedy, but as a way of escaping from suffering. All of them, Nina included, received their salvation at the end. Salvation from all the conflicts, pain and dependency on drugs. For those who are suffering from their own thoughts, I believe there is no better word than “salvation”.

Why did Daniele act violently towards his parents?
Daniele finally recalled the night of his psychotic outbursts, and decided to accept it rather than run from it. He understood that he needed to get help. Although his parents were concerned, his sister treated him strangely. They didn’t know about Daniele’s illness or how he was unable to control himself. Daniele’s mother was critical of him for carrying cocaine around. Daniele discovered that his frustration was due to his drug addiction. His guilt abated a bit when his father visited him. However, their conversation revealed the root cause of his agitation.
Daniele was a salesperson at an air-conditioning company. He hated his job which may have been the root cause of his sadness. His father informed Daniele that he had been granted a week off by the office. This angered him even more. His father was furious when Daniele said that he didn’t want to go back to the same job. (latestphonezone.com) Daniele did not respond to his father’s request for further study. His family seemed to be putting pressure on Daniele. Daniele’s parents were optimistic about him, as he could not study like his siblings. Daniele felt compelled to do his work.

He began to accumulate these complex thoughts in his head and eventually he yelled out violently. This was very devastating for his parents. Although his parents initially were unhappy about him, they eventually accepted him and began to forgive him. Daniele realized that his aggressive nature would only drive him away from his loved ones. He began to be more patient and learned to accept others’ feelings.
Why couldn’t Daniele accept his mental illness?

“Everything Calls for Salvation,” opens with the bright lights of a nightclub, where Daniele (played here by Federico Cesari) is seen getting zonked out. He fell asleep the moment he got home and woke up in hospital the next day. Daniele is now in a mental hospital, but he doesn’t know why. Doctor Mancino said that Daniele had suffered a manic episode. Raffaella Lebboroni, Dr. Cimaroli told him that he had an episode of manic episodes last night. Daniele is unable to comprehend the situation, and tries recalling what happened.
Daniele, a young man, suffered from severe depression. This led to a psychotic episode. He attacked his parents the night before he was admitted to hospital. He was probably under the influence of drugs and he didn’t pretend any more. His frustrations were openly displayed to the rest of the world. He was unable to accept everything when he was taken to the hospital. It’s obvious that anyone who is regularly told that they have a mental illness will not believe it. This is the stigma associated with mental illness in society. Daniele was not willing to believe it initially, just like everyone else.
