Combat in FF6 requires you to find and use relics.
Relics take the place of accessories in this installment. They have many amazing abilities. This guide will help you decide which ones to look for.
Below is a list of the most valuable FF6 relics and their locations.
15. Brigand’s Glove

The Steal command is changed to Mug
The Brigand’s Glove is what will get us started!
This Relic can only be used by Locke or GoGo, but it makes Locke a viable character late in the game.
You will get much of your most valuable equipment from stealing high-power monsters. The downside is that regular theft won’t cause any damage.
This Relic offers the best of both worlds. It allows the wearer to steal and do damage at the same time.
The Brigand’s Glove is available in ZoZo. It can be stolen from Devil Fist, or won at the Coliseum by placing a Thief’s Bracer or a Thief Knife!
14. Reflect Ring

Reflects on the wearer
The Reflect Ring can be used in many areas of the game that have enemies who are strong magic users. It allows you to bounce back their spells.
A spell cast on a party member with Reflect will allow you to bypass an opponent’s Reflect. Since a spell cannot be rebounded, it is also possible to cast a spell on that person.
The ring can be found in Narshe or the Imperial Base.
It can also be purchased from Albrook, Narshe and Thamasa (all located in the World of Balance) as well as South Figaro in The World of Ruin.
13. Guard Bracelet

Provides auto-protection and auto-shell for the wearer
This Relic is a great choice for defense-minded people. This Relic gives an immediate buff to anyone you equip it onto. It’s great for battles that require quick setup or risk taking large damage early in an encounter.
It’s also a great way for your fighter to be safe during the Coliseum, since you don’t have direct control over your character.
This item can be obtained in Narshe by stealing from a Fiend Dragon, collecting it as Wrexsoul’s drop, or winning in the Coliseum by betting a Hero’s Ring.
12. Muscle Belt

50% increase to maximum HP
A large HP pool can sometimes be a blessing.
It’s sometimes the only way to survive against spells or attacks that ignore magic defense.
The Muscle Belt is best for front row attackers who are at high risk of taking a lot of damage or backrow casters that want to put buffs and debuffs on the battlefield.
This can be won from Skull Dragon or stolen from Glasya Lasbolas.
11. Gold Hairpin

Reduces MP costs by half
A very beautiful Relic with obvious utility.
It can be used by any character, and it is likely that you will find someone using it in your party until the end of the game – especially if you unlock the most powerful spells.
Who doesn’t want MP to be affordable?
10. Mog’s Amulet/Molulu’s Charm

Prevents random encounters
It’s great to level up and fight, but sometimes it’s just necessary to grab an item and not have to fight every step of the way.
When equipped with Mog, this relic prevents any random enemy encounters.
This can provide a temporary respite, allowing you to locate a safe point or escape an area that you aren’t yet ready for. To stealthily infiltrate to get some loot.
This is possible when you recruit Mog from the World of Ruin. Once he joins your group, you can check the area directly behind him.
9. Merit Award

Allows characters to equip any weapon and armor
This relic is for you if you love customization.
The Merit Award allows characters to get any piece of equipment they want.
This allows characters to be almost invincible late game or to attack with full force.
This can be obtained at the Colosseum by placing a Cat-Ear Hood wager and defeating Slag Worm.
8. Genji Glove

Allows you to equip 2 weapons
This handy little item is often overlooked early in the game and often underappreciated.
This allows characters to have a weapon in each of their hands and then attack with full-power with them both. It’s amazing!
It is useful at all points in the game and it only gets more valuable as the game progresses.
This can be found at Cave to the Sealed Gate in Cyan’s Dream, the Returners hideout. Steal from Dragon and Gilgamesh.
7. White Cape

Prevents silence and imp; defense and magic defense + 5, and +10% magic blocks
A number of early-game relics can boost stats or give you status immunity.
The White Cape, however, is universally regarded as the best.
It is immune to Imp and silence, and can also boost physical and magical defense.
It also adds a 10% magic block to all of that!
This item can be found at the Returners hideout. You can either steal it from Ultros, or you can buy it at Nikeah or Mobliz.
6. Hero’s Ring

+25% Magical and Physical Damage
The Hero’s Ring provides a simple buff of 25% to both magical and physical damage.
This combination can be stacked with an Earring to create a balanced look that is suitable for all situations.
You can find the Hero’s Ring in South Figaro cave (third time if you haven’t opened its box before), Dragon Neck cabin and Zone-Eater’s Belly.
A Guard Bracelet can also be purchased at the Colosseum or bought from an auction house.
5. Ribbon

Unaffected by all negative states, except zombie
This classic ribbon protects your party member against every condition, except zombie.
This is located in Narshe Caves (third trip if it hasn’t been opened on your first/second story visits).
You can also find it in South Figaro, in a chest located below the chest that contains an X-Potion.
You will also find a Ribbon inside the Phoenix Cave, Kefka’s Tower and the Moogle Cave in this world of ruin.
It can also be taken from Ultima Weapon, Guardian and Brachiosaur. These can be purchased in large quantities!
4. Miracle Shoes

Haste, protect and shell
The Miracle Shoes are a must-have relic.
You can get four powerful buffs at the start of the combat round.
These can be obtained in the Colosseum by placing a Rename Card wager and defeating a Fiend dragon.
3. Master’s Scroll

You can attack up to 4 times per turn
A fan favorite for certain!
This utility allows you to attack up to four times per turn.
The Master’s Scroll can also be used in combination with other relics to create amazing effects. For 8 attacks, pair it with the Genji Gloves!
It is not in the top two spots because there is only one… the other two are just trying to edge it out in utility.
The Master’s Scroll is a 100% drop from any monster found in a box within the Ancient Castle.
2. Soul of Thamasa

Spells can be dual cast
The mighty Soul Of Thamasa is right at the top.
This powerful relic will allow all spells to become dual cast! This is the epitome of action economy.
You’ll only have one complaint in the game.
The Tower of Fanatics is home to the Soul of Thamasa.
1. Celestriad

All spells are 1MP
The Celestriad is the top-ranked Celestriad!
Every spell you cast will cost only 1 MP with this mighty relic. Each casting is free!
The best of all?
This Relic can be obtained multiple times. It can also be made available to all members of the party.
You can get the Celestriad at the Colosseum by placing The Soul of Thamasa on a bet.
It’s better to kill a wild Brachiosaurus to get a drop chance or to steal them from Aquilas. This relic is not guaranteed and may take some time, but it is well worth the effort.
