Enen no Shouboutai (also known in America as Fire Force) is a manga written and illustrated by Atsushi OKUBO. It was published in Shonen Magazine, Kodansha, on September 23rd, 2015, and there are twenty volumes currently available.

The anime adaptation premiered on JNN (MBS/TBS) on July 5, 2019. It was produced by David Production Studio.

Yuki Yase directs David Production studio. It aired 48 episodes, Season 1 (24 episodes), and Season 2 (24), which concluded on December 27, 2020.

The show has been licensed by Funimation (United States of America, Mexico, and Spain), and Sato Company (Brazil and Latin America).

Shinra Kusakabe is a young third-generation pyrokinetic. He earned the name “Devil’s Footprints” for his ability to ignite his feet to the point of light.

He joins Special Fire Force Company 8, which also contains additional pyrokinetics aimed at stopping the hellish attacks for good as they investigate companies 1 through 7 for any possible corruption in their ranks.

Shinra is shocked to discover that the abduction of his younger brother in the fire which killed his mother twelve years ago was triggered by an unknown cult of the end of the world that is behind the horrific attacks.

Company 8, along with its other allies, fights the White Cloaks and the Knights of Cinderella Flame, who are searching for people like Shinra as well as his younger brother to devise an action plan to relive this year’s Great Disaster.
