Declan Harp (Jason Momoa), charismatic and charismatic, is still the main focus. This story develops into something much more interesting, similar to Sokanon (Jessica Matten), a character who starts on the Frontier but ends up fighting against Company, resulting in bloodshed.

The stories are arranged in parallel and the show’s pace is constantly changing throughout its runtime. There is a good progression between these stories. The final episodes do a great job of increasing tension and rounding these four stories out nicely. They end with Declan Harp’s mission completed, in one way or another. And a hint at a new chapter for Frontier.

Frontier’s third season has improved establishing shots. I wrote about it last season. Both the stunning beauty of Canada, Scotland and other parts of the world are captured in incredible detail. There are also some amazing shots of the landscape. Every shot captures the beauty of these places, from rolling hills dotted with a speck of coastline to snow-capped mountains cut apart by ice cold streams and roaring falls.

It is worth noting that the fifth episode features a long shot which really showcases the beauty of this series’ cinematography. This segment, which is only five minutes in length, is divided into three or four long shots. They are lit entirely by flaming torchlights and shot with a single camera that moves and navigates the battlefield. This segment is stunning and reinforces the excellent camera work that the show has used since its inception.

It’s unlikely that the third season will make you a new fan if the first two seasons were not a favorite. The third season is a good start to all the storylines. However, it spends too much time waiting for the action. The season’s final episodes are the best. However, it can drag on for a while.
