His strengths and abilities outmatch the other demons by many folds.

He’s so strong that he single-handedly fought 5 Hashiras and 4 other demon slayers, Tanjiro, Zenitsu, Inosuke, and Kanao.

Not to mention the fact that regular nichirin blades and breathing techniques can’t even slice his head off, which typically works on every demon, including the Upper Demon Moons.

What are the Powers and Skills of Kibutsuji Muzan in Demon Slayer?

The Demon King possesses many supernatural abilities.

He’s much stronger and faster than any demon, not to mention a human.

His physical abilities are off the charts.

His super-intellect makes him more dangerous. His 7 hearts and 5 brains add more to his immortality.

His experience of over 1000 years and crafty character makes him one of the most powerful antagonists in the anime world.

Also, he’s the only demon capable of turning humans into demons by his blood.

Muzan’s regeneration abilities are far more superior than any other demon.

His body regenerates the moment it’s cut or wounded. So even regular attacks with Nichirin Blades are ineffective against the most powerful Demon in Demon Slayer.

So let’s look into some of his special abilities that make Muzan Kibutsuji the Demon King!

1] Telepathy:

The Demon King Muzan can read the minds of all demons and relay orders to them telepathically. This can be seen when he summoned the Lower Demon Moons and read their minds before killing them off.

2] Demon Curse:

This ability is the primary reason why the Demon King has never crossed paths with a Hashira.

Muzan’s blood has a curse in it.

Any demon who speaks his name, regardless of the reference, is immediately killed as its body is destroyed completely.

The body explodes as numerous powerful arms tear the body into bits from inside.

This was seen when Tanjiro met Tamayo after suddenly running into Kibutsuji Muzan.

Muzan sent demons after Tanjiro to kill him, and when one of them spoke his name, he was killed by the Demon Curse.

In consequence, the secrets of his powers and his whereabouts are always secret, and he cannot be found.

That’s why all the Hashira were shocked after they heard that Tanjiro had met Kibutsuji Muzan during the Hashira meeting arc.

This is the most dangerous ability of Kibutsuji Muzan, and it resulted in the death of most of the Hashira and demon slayers.

This ability allows Muzan to manipulate his cells and create various extensions or change the shape of his body.

During the final battle, Muzan used this ability to acquire many whip-like structures with large mouths on them that had sharp teeth to tear off the demon slayers.

This long-range offense gives Muzan an edge over the Demon Slayers in battle as they must come close to him to land a strike with their blades.

This is another one of Muzan’s dangerous abilities.

It causes internal destruction of the body, paralysis, and great pain.

When the Upper Demon Moon Three Akaza failed to bring the Blue Spider Lily and kill the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku, Muzan left him vulnerable by simply pointing a single finger at him.

The Demon King, Kibutsuji Muzan, has the ability to change form.

To date, we had seen the Demon King as an Adult Male with a daughter and a wife, a young male child with skin issues with daylight, and a beautiful adult woman (when he killed all the Lower Demon Moons).

These are the only ways to defeat him, but unlike other demons, it takes a lot even for these methods to affect him due to his superhuman abilities.

The Demon King is susceptible to Daylight. Like any other demon (except Nezuko), Muzan Kibutsuji cannot withstand daylight, and his cells start to burn.

Daylight is the only way to defeat the strongest demon, as its regenerative abilities can heal any wounds immediately.

Crimson Red Nichirin Blade is another way to fight the strongest demon.
