Isayama Says That He Wants a Break Before Next Job

An interview was published by VF, a French magazine. Attack on Titan manga author Hajime Isayama joked that he would only think about his next job after a good rest.
@LKRjaeger, a Twitter user, shared the scanned version of the interview in French with the snippet which reveals the author’s plans after the end of Attack on Titan.
An English translation for a portion of the snippet is:
“Right now, what I’m dying to do before thinking about my next job is to take a midday stroll through a not-so-quiet neighborhood with a glass of sake in hand. For me, that is what freedom is, ” said Isayama.
The author doesn’t say anything else about the project, but he previously mentioned that he planned to take a vacation when Attack on Titan: Shingeki no Kyojin was completed.
Isayama currently participates in the production of Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2.
According to director Yuichiro Hayashi, Isayama’s feedback has gone from being one A4 page long in Final Season Part 1 to two A4 pages long in the current season.
During an interview with News Gamme, Isayama said that he would attempt dark comedy in 2020. However, Isayama stated before that he would like to start his own onsen.
Hajime Isayama is a Japanese manga artist. His first series, Attack on Titan (2009–2021), became one of the best-selling manga series of all time with 100 million copies in circulation as of December 2019.
It was serialized in Kodansha’s Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 34 tankobon volumes.
It has won numerous awards, including the Kodansha Manga Award (Attilio Micheluzzi Award) and the Harvey Award.
