Many of us didn’t believe we would see Killing Stalking get an anime adaptation. However, now we have it. What do fans think about the fact that the controversial show will receive its own series?
Killing Stalking is a South Korean manhwa (the Korean version of manga) created and drawn by Koogi.
The thriller, horror, and psychological story was published in the year 2000 by Lezhin Comics and won the W100,000,000 Grand Prize Award at the Second Lezhin World Comics Contest.
The manhwa series ran from 2016 to 2019 and has four collected volumes. But, reports have surfaced that the series will soon be getting the benefit of a 3DCG adaptation.
Unfortunately, a lot of fans have already expressed their displeasure regarding the controversial show being given its own animated series.
Everybody has at the very least loved someone because of their looks or personality or both. However, when you come to know them intimately, the person becomes an individual. Have you ever experienced this? Killing Stalking is another manhwa written by Koogi which has had success in capturing the attention of many people due to its plot, storyline, and characters. Manhwas aren’t all created equal; not all have an excellent plot, smooth character development, or even get fans’ interest.
However, Koogi’s “Killing Stalking,” has done all these, and especially captured people’s interest. Fans’ attention is all over the place. Some are appreciative of the manhwa and its narrative; however, others are blaming the manhwa for promoting abuse and the practice of rape. We’ll also point out some of the remarks posted by some fans.
Killing Stalking Anime Plot
The story takes place in the contemporary world and in a world where Yoon Bum, who suffers from Borderline Personality Disorder, is a fan of Oh Sangwoo. Both are students at college, and Bum is obsessed with Sangwoo. Sangwoo and Bum each had a story filled with mishaps. Bum suffered the loss of his parents. He was snatched away by his uncle, and was repeatedly raped by his aunt, his soldiers in the army, and also by Sangwoo. Sangwoo, on the contrary, has done quite a few ‘not so-good’ things that it’s difficult to define even in terms. To summarize, Sangwoo is a serial murderer, a sex abuser, an asexual rapist, a murderer as well as a manipulator and an imminent threat.
A manhwa similar to Killing Stalking is hard to locate. If you stumble on this manhwa, you’ll probably be wondering what the reason is for not having an animation adaptation of this movie? It could be that there are studios who are willing to tackle the task.

Will Killing Stalking be able to get an anime adaptation?
There are fan-made animated versions of Killing Stalking, but no official studio has yet to make any announcements. As of the moment, we don’t have the anime adaptation of Killing Stalking to drop in 2022. However, we may get a similar announcement if a studio decides to acquire it and sees the potential. But, the release date cannot be determined at this time.
The chAosOPUS, a horror-focused Indie Studio (mOss studio) is set to develop a piece that is a sequel to Killing Stalking, a 3DCG work. They have decided to take on the project from Killing Stalking, and even the writer would be able to assist. When you look at it, the work is well accomplished. However, many of the fans would like to see a Japanese animated film.
Fans Review
Killing Stalking isn’t the best for certain supporters. It can be quite psychologically stressful. While some fans are in love with the plot and characters, there are those within the Killing Stalking (KS) fandom who are angry at Bum over his actions and his actions toward Sangwoo. Others are furious at the fact that some people are actually praising Bum and Sangwoo who are only an abuser and victim. Fans have also been criticizing Seungbae as he was the one who saved Bum. They are furious at Bum’s decision to leave Sangwoo to his own devices. While there are those who defend the comments, there are others who are rooting and cheering on behalf of Bum as well as Sangwoo.
Many of the fans have attempted to defend the author’s actions, too. Some have suggested that the author is glorifying rape and abuse. The author has denied any such claims. However, the fanart and artwork created by Koogi (the creator) is in contradiction to their assertion.
Normalizing abuse and rape is not something that any writer should do. The fans who lash out at the author are justified. Your personal opinion is fine as well, however forcing your opinions on someone who is doing their work on their own is unacceptable. It is not the case that the author, who is working on their project, as well as any other fans who just share their opinions, are on the right track. Being aware of the work and getting criticisms for the work you have done is professional as well as acceptable.
