Kozuki Hiyori is the daughter of Kozuki Oden. Over the past 20 years, she has been known by the name of Komurasaki and has become the most famous oiran from the Land of Wa.

Kozuki Hiyori is a stunning woman and so beautiful that she’s regarded as being among the most beautiful women in the whole nation of Wa. Her eyes are blue and she has long, teal hair, a portion of which is tied around her hairline. She is wearing red lipstick and has two roses in her hair, as well as a white and purple spherical clip. She is wearing a pink kimono that has lilac, purple, and white flowers on it. Also, she wears an oversized red and pink jacket with yellow patterns printed on it.

As a kid she was very active at times, to the point that she would punch her brother’s face with flying kicks in order to play.

HISTORY Of Kozuki Hiyori
PAST
Kozuki Hiyori was born 24 years prior to the beginning of the story of the Moby Dick. In the same year, with the addition of her dad to the Roger Pirates, his family moved to Jackson Gold.
A few years after, her mother became sick in the region of Wa and, on the advice of the ship’s doctor, stopped traveling. Her two sons were able to stay with her. Storm Dog along with Viper-cat stayed there on the Island. In this place, Hiyori met the other servants of her father who were patiently waiting for his return for a long time. But, his father continued his journey with his team and didn’t return until the year following.
In 1818, before the beginning of the story, Yasuie along with his troops went into Kuri Castle to defend Oden’s family. Oden had gone together with the nine servants of Oden to fight the enemies. The Ten samurai fell and were taken captive by Kaido’s men and later sentenced to death. While they were unaware of what had transpired, Hiyori made an origami for her father after he returned.
The mother of her child visited him during the time in prison, and he handed Ame no Habakiri to Momonosuke as well as Enma to Hiyori. The woman later gave the swords to Tenguyama Hitetsu to ensure their security.
Kurozumi Orochi and Kaido were the two who had Oden executed, and the Emperor’s troops burned down the castle of Kuri, including Hiyori, Momonosuke and Toki in the castle. A few years later, she convinced some criminals to provide her with their entire wealth in order to extort the woman of Orochi, however, the money was given to Denjiro to give to the poor who were then destined for ruin. The samurai further explained his strategy to “kill” Komurasaki in case of need to have her removed from Orochi. She asked her to conceal a small amount of blood underneath her kimono every day.
SAGA OF THE LAND OF WA
Orochi requests Komurasaki’s help during his dinner. The Orochi and her kamuro go to the castle of the shogun in the city streets in Flower Capital and are joined by Toko.
When she enters the royal palace, Komurasaki is assaulted by three men she swindled, however her guards stop the attackers. The banquet is about to begin, the oiran entertains Orochi with a rendition of one of Shogun’s most beloved songs.
While the crowd quietly mocks Orochi for frightening Kozuki Toki’s prophecy, Toko doesn’t hold back and breaks into a roar of laughter. The shogun becomes angry and is about to strike her, however Komurasaki hits the shogun and doesn’t apologize, claiming his ancestry to the samurai. Orochi savagely attacks the men in the room and grasps the oiran’s jaws. However, the attic caves in on the shogun, who lets Komurasaki go. But, Kyoshiro strikes her with his sword and discovers the flyer, which was distributed to Kozuki family’s allies.
Then, the shogun directs Kamazo to kill Toko. Then Komurasaki, who is believed dead, is taken away, and the assassin follows them to their destination in the Ringo region. There, the woman seeks Zorojuro for assistance, and he will help the two, despite Gyukimaru still pursuing him. The pirate dodges him, however, he is struck through one of Kamazo’s two scythes that can be used as a third sword in order to beat his adversaries.
The other falls to the ground defeated, and Gyukimaru is able to walk away and Zoro becomes unconscious. Hiyori helps him and takes Zoro to a residence located in the Ringo cemetery. When the swordsman awakes the next morning, he runs to Gyukimaru to get his sword, however the woman keeps him in place and, after being offered food, informs him of the warrior monk as well as his own goal, which is to locate his sister Kozuki Momonosuke.

Brook soothes her by telling her that the man who has taken Toko off is actually a friend of theirs. Brook, after that, she scares a few of Orochi Oniwabanshu, so that Hiyori is able to escape. However, Daikoku demands Fujin and Raijin to pursue her. Two ninjas chase her, but upon hearing her screaming, Zoro runs to her to save her and then takes her away.

In that moment, Kawamatsu reaches them and breaks up their battle and is also acknowledged by Hiyori who is delighted to see him once more. In that instant, a few of Kaido’s soldiers arrive at the bridge to recover their weapons that were stolen by Gyukimaru who is then shot at. Before they are able to proceed, however, Zoro and Kawamatsu take on them, and the monk flees.
Kawamatsu then tells Hiyori about the incident that occurred after she fled and tells Hiyori that Kawamatsu introduced him to Hiyori as “Gyukimaru of the Oihagi Bridge” and then warded off grave-raiders. They are both fascinated by the monk that has the identical name, but they think that it’s just an unintentional coincidence.
They head to the weapons cache which is where they meet Zoro, to whom Hiyori requests to trade the Shusui for Enma, which is his father’s sword, with which the sword was used to kill Kaido despite Kawamatsu’s recommendation against the sword. The swordsman agrees to an agreement that they visit Ryuma’s grave. Hiyori leaves and declares that he doesn’t want to be with the others at the time being.
Then, he arrives at Onigashima and there he tends to his father’s servants injured by the battle against Kaido and then departs. Then she goes to a room that is adjacent to the room of treasure in which she performs the shamisen in the role of Komurasaki. On the opposite part of the wall Orochi is able to hear the song and looks into the room, stunned to observe her. He walks up to her, then wonders whether he’s actually dead or thinking about it, and claims that no day has gone by without him thinking about her. The girl says that the same holds true for her and she will always be by his side. Orochi crying, is crying out that if it’s a dream, they shouldn’t get him to sleep.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN MANGA AND ANIME
PAST
After landing on the Land of Wa, Hiyori met some of the servants of her father for the first time. Hiyori was the first to meet him.
Hiyori imagined the fish being grilled as she was swimming and also the moment that Kawamatsu took the fish using his own hands. Then, she shows the time when the tiny girl left the fish-man when he was asleep, and the moment she arrived at her destination, the Flower Capital.
TIME JUMP
In the animated series, Komurasaki and Bingo were reunited a year prior to the annual oiran parade at the Flower Capital.
SAGA OF THE LAND OF WA
His appearance in Orochi’s Palace is illustrated. In the comic, Kyoshiro discovers the message of Kin’emon inside Komurasaki’s hand, but in the anime, it’s in the middle of the floor.
The dialogue among Hiyori, Toko, along with Zoro continues. Then, Brook shows her the newspaper that reveals Tonoyasu’s captivity. In the capital city, the skeleton assures her that Sanji is with them.
Zoro as well as Hiyori encounter the masked ninja who attempts to strike Zoro and Hiyori with a blowgun bolt, however, the pirate fights him off, and the adversary escapes.

TRIVIA About Kozuki Hiyori
The name Komurasaki recalls Miura-ya Komurasaki, the oiran who actually lived through the Edo period. Her loved one Hirai committed a number of acts of violence to secure her freedom until he stumbled to his own death, following which the oiran attempted suicide.
