Mei Ayazuki, a high school girl, is sent to Meiji-era Japan on a red full Moon night by Charlie, a magician. The Meiji era, a strange time in history, is when ghosts are believed to exist. Unconsciously, she wanders about and suddenly finds herself at Rokumeikan. She discovers she is a Tamayori, who is able to see ghosts of superior status at the time. There, she meets historical figures and is invited into their homes.
This talent has allowed her to see a change in her relationships with Charlie and the men around her. She slowly gets to know and love the men from this time period.
Despite Mei having lost her memories, Mei begins to help the men with their concerns. She is able to communicate with spirits and see things through her eyes. Mei begins to think about staying in the Meiji period while she waits for the next full moon. Is Mei able to go back to her own time? But what happens to her love of transcending time?

Meiji Tokyo Renka Season 2: Renewal Status
Otakus from all over the world loved the first season of the anime. It is loosely based upon the video game, and was inspired by light novels. The makers of the anime have refused to discuss the future plans of the series, even though they would love to see more. They have not canceled or renewed the series for a second season.
Fans are eager to find out if there will be a second season of Meiji Tokyo Renka. Fans are still asking the production studios for information about the renewal status of this show. They are getting only disappointment in return.
This series has a manga as well as a light novel version. The authors only published two volumes and ended the series. The anime series also has a videogame, but it already adapts its story from the first season.
