Melty Q Melromarc : Everything You Need To Know
Melty Q Melromarc is the Second and Crown Princesse of Melromarc, who became the new Queen of Melromarc after her mother’s death and the war against Faubrey.
Naofumi Shewatani was promoted to Archduke to spite her, but it proved to be a mistake when she realized that the position was second only to the Queen. This in turn caused them to technically engage with one another.
Appearance
Melty is a fitting age for her appearance. She has a bra-length of blue hair, which she wears in curly pigtails with two blue ribbons.
Her royal status is based on her fancy frilly dresses, which she wears in blue with white areas.

Personality
Melty appears polite at first glance. However, it is just a facade for others. Melty is more open-minded and kind to commoners and Demihumans than most Melromarc Kingdom nobles. She is also more mature and moral than her older sister Malty S Melromarc. These traits make her almost the exact opposite of Malty S Melromarc, her older sister.
She can be the same age as any other child her age. This was evident after she spent time with Naofumi, which confused Melty, who realized that her behavior was unusual.
Melty was inspired by her mother’s hobbies to become a Filolial enthusiast. This interest was eventually overtaken later by Motoyasu Kitamura and was the reason she fell in love with Filo. She is Filo’s best friend. Naofumi trusted her despite trust issues. This was based on Filo trusting Melty. Filo is a good judge.
Background
Melty, although she is the youngest of the three daughters, was chosen to be the first in line for the throne due to her older sister’s personality problems. Mirellia took Melty in after seeing her first child be spoilt rotten. Her personality, although not unusual for someone raised by Queen Elizabeth II, is quite normal. Mirellia took Melty to almost all diplomatic meetings to show her her work. She doesn’t believe in the religion of her country, just like her mother.
She grew up listening to stories about Legendary Heroes thanks to her mother.
Natural and learned abilities
Melty’s strengths are in her diplomatic skills, and water magic. She has never been seen in hand-to-hand combat.
- Musical Instruments
Melty is able to play a variety of musical instruments and provides music for Filo’s concerts.
Relationship MeltyQ Melromarc
Legendary Heroes
Naofumi Iwatani
Melty’s relationship to Naofumi is initially fraught by Aultcray’s clashes. Although they start on a neutral ground, their relationship soon becomes strained by Aultcray’s dark disposition. This only gets worse once he discovers her royal lineage. Her return was made to make amends to her Shield Hero and her dad, but she failed to do so twice because of the stubborn refusal of the former.
Naofumi makes a mockery of Aultcray and Melty approaches her to ask for an apology. She was afraid of what the consequences would be, which led to her mother’s ire. She slowly changes her mind about Naofumi after he saves her from an assassination attempt by the Church of the Three Heroes. Their relationship is now protected by the Shield, but she still fears his resentment towards her family. Later, she asks Naofumi to stop calling her by her royal title. This customarily implies a closer connection.

Naofumi eventually protects Melty against her sister, Cult and other Heroes (who believe she’s been brainwashed). Ironically, it’s them who have been brainwashed through praise, propaganda, Malty and the Cult of Three Heroes’ direct lies. He goes on a brief but important adventure with her before her mother clears his name. Melty is joined by Raphtalia, Filo, and objects to Naofumi being called “ugly” by her sister. Her mother notes that she actually has a chance to marry the man, which has many political advantages that the Queen eagerly attempts to force.
Melty was named the new queen after her mother’s death and the victory over Faubrey. Naofumi teased Melty about the new responsibilities that she holds. This caused her to become furious and promote Naofumi as archduke in order to give him some new responsibilities. They both dislike the fact they are engaged, but it seems impossible to undo.
Motoyasu Kitamura
Motoyasu attempted to save Melty from Naofumi’s “evil”, but refused to listen to Melty believing she was brainwashed. After suffering through much and witnessing Motoyasu’s approach to Filo, Melty was able to snap enough to attack him. Although Naofumi was finally cleared of his name, they rarely see each other. However, Melty expressed her displeasure at him when he went on a rampage using the cursed form of his weapon.
Vassal Weapon Holders
Aultcray Melromarc, XXXII
Melty loves Aultcracy as her father. However, she couldn’t bear his arrogance towards her older sister. She also doubts his past actions, as told to her by her mother. Melty runs to save him from her mother’s fury but is unsuccessful due to the Hero refusing to compromise. She later supports Naofumi in the Church’s attempt to take her life.
Despite the tension in their relationship and Aultcray’s overindulgence, favoritism and favouritism towards Malty, it was a good thing. Aultcray still expressed his horror at his oldest daughter confessing to her plot to kill Melty to take the throne. This implied that Aultcray’s favoritism towards his oldest child didn’t affect his judgement in matters concerning Melty’s safety, and that he loves Melty as much as his first.
Raphtalia

They got along well when they first met. After learning the identity of Naofumi, Naofumi displays hostility towards Melty. Raphtalia is more open to Melty because she claims they have traveled together. Raphtalia did not stop at all from complying with Naofumi’s actions and deciding to not be associated with her.
They became close friends when Melty joined her, Naofumi and Filo to fight against Church of the Three Heroes, who conspired with Malty to attack Naofumi with false charges. Raphtalia is uncomfortable with how close they were becoming when Melty shows more affection towards Naofumi (such as asking to be called by her name). Their time together has created a strong bond of trust between Raphtalia, Melty, and Naofumi.
Family
Malty S Melromarc
They are sisters, Melty being Malty’s younger sister. Despite being close to each other, their contradicting personalities make it clear that they don’t get along. They don’t show it because of their royal status. They often behave formal towards one another, except when they are engaged in diplomatic-based arguments. The fact that Melty, the youngest princess, is next in line to the throne, despite her being the youngest, is a further strain to their relationship. Malty, however, is bitter because she believes she, the oldest princess, is entitled to the throne.
Although they pretend to be on friendly terms, Malty holds her sister in contempt because her mother passed her first daughter to the monarchy. Mirella had strong reasons to choose Melty for her heir. Her firstborn was a spoiled, selfish, and sociopathic individual. She knew this and considered her unfit to become the next ruler of their nation. Mirella believes that Malty would be a brutal tyrant if she were to ascend to the throne. Melty recognized the horrible characteristics of her sister, Malty, who always put her needs above those of others. She also saw her own inexplicable lack care for her family and anyone else she served, not to mention her countrymen.
The second princess, despite knowing all this, didn’t realize how much her sister’s hatred towards the heir was until she met the Shield Hero. Malty decided that Melty would be the one standing between her and her throne.
After learning of the cruel acts of her manipulative sister, Melty was both horrified and disgusted. Melty loved her sister and was sad about her impending execution. She was thankful that Naofumi had decided to spare her.
Companions
Filo
Melty was immediately interested in Filo when she first met her. This is due to her fascination with Filolials. This interest grew further because Melty had never seen Filo, a Filolial with the same appearance and ability to speak as her, before. Melty expressed her desire to befriend Filo, and vice versa. Melty became close friends with Filo because of their childlike natures and shared interests. She regards Filo as her best friend, and was sad to be separated from her for the first time. She was a huge fan of Filo’s species and longed to meet Filolial Queen, a dream she realized thanks to Filo.
Filo was delighted to be able to travel again with Melty after Melty started traveling with Naofumi because of a conspiracy around the Cult of the Three Heroes. They spend time together strengthening their bonds to the point where they are willing to sacrifice their lives for each other. This was first shown when Melty attacked Motoyasu, who was holding Filo hostage. Melty also lied to Filo to play hide and seek in order to give herself to a corrupted noble looking for Naofumi or his friends. Filo wanted to rescue Melty, not use the opportunity to escape as Melty had intended. Combination skills can only be achieved through travel and the battles they have to face.

Melty and Filo spend more time together now that Naofumi was named. Melty loves sleeping naked in Filo’s feathers and sharing a bed with Filo because Filo is warm.
Naofumi’s trust in Melty is based entirely on Filo’s excellent grasp of character, who has complete faith in her.
Acquaintances
Eclair Seaetto
Eclair and Melty seem to share similar personalities. Both work for Naofumi. Eclair is the deputy governor. Melty handles all other matters, while Naofumi looks after the villages. Melty is also aware of the flaws in Eclair’s approach to rebuilding the Saeatto territories, but she prefers not to comment as it could cause unnecessary friction between them. Eclair’s poor governing strategies led to Naofumi putting Melty in charge instead of Eclair.
Ruftmila
Ruft left Q’ten Lo to join Naofumi’s village. He was then sent to Melromarc to receive education. He learned tactics, languages, and governing skills while there with Melty as his main tutor.
Enemies
Idol Rabier
Melty found Idol a deplorable man who held a sick idea of human supremacy over demi-human. She was especially horrified by the way that the malignant nobleman used torture and mutilation to achieve his goals. She hated his evil nature, and was horrified at the possibility that others would unleash a sealed creature, potentially threatening the lives of countless people, in order to get rid of the Shield.
Biscas T. Balmus
When Melty discovers just how far the pope and his sects’ nefarious schemes really go, Melty is shocked at Melty’s perception of Melromarc’s most holy person. She didn’t initially think much of him before she met Biscas. He tried to take her life in order for them to be able to persecute the Shield Hero. His self-serving, warped view of himself and persistent theocratic supremacy in God’s name is likened to Malty’s deluded and spoiled sense of entitlement to whatever she desired. They were self-serving psychobabble who was beneficial to themselves and their only family, but detrimental to all others.
Story
Volume 3
Melty was sent by her mother to Melromarc for two reasons. One, her father wanted her to see him, and second, Melty wanted to repair the relationship between her father, the Shield hero. She lost her way and became involved with some wild Filolials during her return. Naofumi took her to Castle town without her knowing the identity of the other person. She made friends with Filo during their journey. She tried to convince the Shield Hero to speak to her father, but it was unsuccessful. Naofumi won the third wave and was brought to the castle, where he mocked the king and threatened him. Melty asked Naofumi for a serious conversation with her father, but was ignored. Naofumi was about to leave the country to attend a class-up. Melty pursued him, demanding an apology from her father and reasonable discussions with him.
Melty was the victim of an assassination plot of the Cult. She was taken under the protection the shield hero. Naofumi was pinged for her assassination plot and a bounty was placed upon his head for a large sum. She concluded that her sister was involved, and she wanted the throne. Naofumi was left with few options. The king of Melromarc was biased towards the shield hero, and the previous encounter might have contributed to their bitterness. Naofumi plans on taking Melty along and negotiating after the queens’ arrive. Melty reluctantly accepts their offer.
Volume 4
They were still being chased by Motoyasu, and eventually ended up at Van Reichnott’s. Idol Rabier is her next target. Naofumi eventually fought the noble and killed him. Raphtalia recalls the painful experiences she had in Idol’s basement and the loss of her best friend. They also managed to rescue Keel, another Raphtalia friend.

Melty believed she understood the strain in Human-Demi-human relations. However, she was shocked to witness the horrific acts of violence against demi-humans in her country. In his final breath, Idol released the monster sealed in the middle the kingdom to kill Naofumi, his comrades. The Shield Hero took the monster to the outskirts and defeated it. Fitoria finally appears and saves the day.
Melty said she would work hard to ensure that both demi-humans as well as humans have peaceful lives in her country. She was the next in line to be made Queen after Malty’s punishment had been in place. As part of a political marriage, her mother offers her hand in marriage Naofumi to which she blushes.
Volume 10
Several weeks had passed since Naofumi and his group returned from Glass’ World. He asks for the Seaetto territory as a reward for his participation in the Spirit Tortoise case. He arrives at the Seaetto territory to find that Eclair has made some rebuilding progress, but this was mainly due to Melty.
Volume 12

Melty was playing with Filo when suddenly Filo became ill. It turned out to be the Demon Dragon Empire siphoning Filo’s levels for his own purposes. Melty joined Naofumi to defeat the Demon Dragon Emperor. They were able defeat the Demon Dragon partly due to Melty’s impressive magical abilities. It was revealed that Melty had low levels so Naofumi made her power-level with Filo.
Volume 13
Melty reached level 40 during power-leveling alongside Filo and they met Fitoria. Fitoria requests Naofumi to address a filolial matter through the two of them and makes an advance payment to Filo and Melty.
Melty assumed an unofficial responsibility for the Seaetto reconstruction effort, since Eclair was a horrible governor and Melty had taken on that role. She made it possible for Naofumi to remove Eclair from office and place Melty in charge of Eclair’s affairs.
Volume 16

Queen Mirellia was killed in an ambush by Takt. Melty being the first to inherit the throne of the kingdom, Melty was named the new Queen Melromarc. After briefly grieving, she soon recovered her resolve and began leading Melromarc against Takt. They were able defeat Takt’s army thanks to her father’s wisdom.
Volume 17
The immediate concerns of Faubrey’s invasion forces being resolved, the official coronation was held for Melty. She was a popular princess and was eagerly received by Melromarc representatives as well as other nations. Naofumi teased Melty after the ceremony about her high position and responsibility. Melty retaliated by bestowing Naofumi the title of archduke in a royal edict. Aultcray joyfully reminded the two that the archduke usually marries the queen so they may be considered politically engaged. Both men resent the idea, but it was impossible to reverse the royal edict. So, Naofumi was reelected archduke.
Volume 20
Naofumi and his group return from Glass’ World to find that Melty is doing well as queen. Melty is complaining of feeling tired from the meetings and other formal business, as well as the threat to be assassinated. Her father is an adviser who can provide lots of support.
However, she provides an update to Naofumi’s village and Melty and her shadow are sent back in the past. They are able to find out where they are thanks to Melty’s extensive knowledge of history. She is also a representative of the political party, which aids Naofumi’s village to build positive relationships with Siltran and Mamoru.
