Naruto did not become a Chunin or Jonin rank. Even after passing his second Chunin Exam, he did not earn the title. Naruto was granted the rank of Jonin by Kakashi, 6th Hokage. He completes all the required studies. He is a Genin and becomes the 7th Hokage.

Naruto did not attain the rank of Chunin nor Jonin. This is a reflection of his Shinobi personality. He wasn’t a good student. He failed more than two Genin exams.

After saving his master Iruka, he earned the junior rank of ninja. Iruka discovered that Naruto could become a competent Shinobi by performing a complex shadow clone technique jutsu. He achieved his fame later on because of his determination and his commitment to his principles.

When did Naruto become a Chunin?

Naruto was not able to pass the exam twice and become a Chunin.

He passed his first Chunin Exam. He beat Neji in his final match and won the preliminary match against Kiba Izuka. However, he did not win all of the exam battles and was not awarded the rank Chunin.

To be promoted to Chunin, Ninjas need to demonstrate impressive strategies and leadership skills. They do not automatically qualify for the leaderboard if they win the match. The responsibility of a Chunin is to lead a small number of shinobi on dangerous missions.

Shikamaru was the only ninja who showed all the qualities the examiners were looking for. Even though he lost his last battle against Temari, he was praised for his leadership and amazing tactics.

When a coordinated attack began on Konoha, the last matches of the Chunin exam were cancelled.

Naruto passed the Chunin exam twice during an episode called Chunin Exam On Fire! Naruto vs. Konohamaru. Konohamaru was a childhood rival to Naruto, who once vowed that he would defeat him to become a Hokage. Later, they would fight in the preliminary round.

Naruto couldn’t believe Konohamaru won by default. Konohamaru is made a Chunin, making Naruto his military subordinate.

When did Naruto take the Chunin exam?

After the Land of the Waves story, Naruto attended his first Chunin Exams in Konoha. Due to an attack by Orochimaru, the Sunagakure ninjas, and others on Konoha, the exam was cancelled. The Third and Fourth Hokages were killed in the attack.

He attempted to pass the Chunin exam again sometime between Naruto Anime Series (Naruto Shippuden) Part I and Part II. The animation was either an original video animation, or a short film that took place outside of the series’ scope. This animation was limited to the second phase, and the preliminary match for Naruto’s second Chunin exams.

Why Naruto is not a Chunin

Naruto took only two Chunin exams in his quest to become Hokage. After the attack on Konoha, Konoha was left without a Hokage leader. Naruto and the Konoha Ninjas had to search for a candidate to be the Fifth Hokage in order to restore peace to the village.

An additional devastating attack on Konoha was launched years later. Nagato and Akatsuki want to capture Naruto the Nine-Tailed Fox. Naruto won the battle again, but the village had to rebuild.

All five ninja villages formed an alliance called the Allied Shinobi Forces due to the threat of Akatsuki, and their mission of creating havoc. The Fourth Shinobi World War erupted and lasted for two days. The alliance succeeded in sealing all Ten-Tails, thereby restoring peace and order to the ninja universe.

After passing his first Chunin exam, Naruto was faced with many challenges. Although he didn’t attain the Chunin rank, he was able to master many S-rank jutsus which allowed him to win war with his friends and allies. He is a Nine-Tailed Fox, and his incredible power comes from within.

Many world events took place right after Naruto’s first Chunin examination. To restore peace and harmony in the ninja universe, every village ninja went on missions. Naruto made it a priority to pass the Chunin exam.
