Does Mirai Kakehashi Become God?

Mirai Kakehashi is not God in the end.
Mirai fans can be assured that this is not bad news. The world will forget about the contest and the god candidates who remain are able to live normal lives after the new god is chosen.
Mirai and Saki are together for most of the show and end up getting married. They also open a flower shop to fulfill their dreams.
It was a happy ending. Well, almost…
Who is God in the Platinum End?

Mirai is not the one who becomes God, but Shuuji Nakaumi (another God candidate).
Shuuji, a quiet character, is initially against the idea that he could become God like Mirai. However, the story reaches a point where it becomes a choice between Mirai or Shuuji.
Shuuji eventually agreed to accept the job. Shuuji, on the other hand, watches as Saki and Mirai live their lives after the God candidacy.
What Happens at the End of Platinum End?

Mirai Kakehashi attempts to commit suicide but is saved by Nasse, an angel. She gives Mirai Kakehashi two arrows and a pair of wings in exchange for his not dying. Soon it is revealed that the God who created the universe is now in mortal peril. Thirteen angels were assigned to each select a God candidate. One of the thirteen candidates will be chosen to become the next God. Mirai eventually meets other God candidates, and even fights for them. Many things took place, and Shuji Nakaumi was chosen as the final God. He is a middle-schooler who committed suicide. Even more evidence is provided that Shuji was a resemblance to the previous God in many aspects.
Shuji Nakaumi is taken over by God. The two are not yet fused. Shuji’s mind will take over God’s once the two are fused. Shuji enters the spirit realm and is observant. He sees the angels deliver dead people. He questions the reason why the dead are being taken to heaven. It turns out that angels don’t know anything God doesn’t. Shuji concludes that God must preserve the end, just as God created it. The manga’s central question remains: Did humanity create God or did God create humanity. As Shuji sits in heaven, he tries to find the answers.
The Earth
All the memories of God Candidacy were gone from Earth. Only the God Candidates were able to recall it all. Professor Yoneda continues his search for answers while examining the red arrow. Mirai and Saki get married and open the flower shop that they had always dreamed of. Nasse and Rubel watch over them and celebrate their happiness. The years pass and they get married. Despite the fact that time has passed, Professor Yoneda is still not closer to finding something, but he’s happy with his life.
The End

We see the remaining God Candidates and they appear happy and content with their lives. Shuji realizes that although they seem happy, many people are taking their lives every day. He asks the angels for help. They tell him to stop asking for help. He tries to find answers by talking to Nasse but she is too busy to help him. Also, He sees the world through the eyes of God and sees only the most basic aspects, the differences between people. He sees that God was only interested in creating life and that he has left everything to the human race. God doesn’t need to do anything. All who desire death will die. He concludes that God’s existence does not matter.
He asks the angel that was guarding him to call the other angels. God commits suicide when she turns around. The world dies when God dies. One by one, the angels vanish and Professor Yoneda’s arrow also disappears. Every human is eventually lost one by one. The clothes that they were wearing are all gone.
Platinum End Ending Explained

The series takes a shocking turn at the end of Platinum End Manga.
Shuuji argues for suicide throughout the series. He sees it as an option for all people. He sees the inequalities of the world and decides to become God. Some people are happy, while others end their lives.
Shuuji wonders what he can do for the world to balance, but he discovers there is no way as humanity is in complete control. Shuuji concludes that there is no need for God and commits suicide.
The death of God is followed by the extermination of all life, beginning with the angels and ending with all humanity on Earth.
In the end of Platinum End, everyone is dead, angels and humans alike.
The underlying message
The ending to Platinum End was both absurd and magnificent. It’s neither a happy nor a tragic ending. It is a happy ending, but it leaves behind many unresolved feelings. We must go back to the beginning to understand Platinum End’s ending. Platinum End is centered around suicides and poses many thought-provoking questions about Gods and angels as well as the meaning of life in its journey.
The story has included suicides as one of the many concepts. You can see that many people have suicidal tendencies due to mental instability and stress. Most suicidal people think the same thing: “What difference would it make if my life ended?” Platinum End has the answer to that question. The manga uses a large platform to answer this question. Shuji believed that God’s death would not make any difference. He was proved to be wildly wrong. Everything dies when God is gone. Even more tragic, Shuji couldn’t see how wrong or disastrous his deduction was. Same goes for suicides in real-life.
Because life is important, death matters. People may think that death is insignificant. However, the actions they take can cause havoc for those around them. The angels make a constant request to God for help. God does not do anything for the world, but the whole world still suffers from his death.
Reality is no different. Even if people don’t bring about radical changes, their deaths will still have consequences that they couldn’t have foreseen. That’s how the world works.
Review

Platinum End is a story that leaves you wanting more. The story’s position is what’s most admirable. The characters didn’t know what was happening. Only those who were in the reader’s shoes could understand what was happening and why. The reader is just as important as any character in the story.

Is the Platinum End Anime the same as the Manga?

Many fans felt disappointed by the manga’s ending. They felt it was rushed and unclimactic after all that had gone before. Although there is no official confirmation, it is possible that the anime will end in a different way.
Shuuji’s suicide ends in the last chapter. The series offers an ending that is slightly less dramatic or forced depending on your opinions. Death Note and other anime have altered or removed the last chapters to make an alternate ending. There’s a good chance that Platinum End will follow suit.
