Science Fell in Love Season 1 Recap
Yukimura, Himuro and their respective graduate students work in the same research lab. Himuro tells Yukimura one morning, out of complete obscurity, that she believes she is in love. This shocks her fellow student. Yukimura wants to know how Himuro came to such a conclusion. She explains that science types cannot draw correct conclusions from evidence. The two embark on a test to quantify and validate their romantic feelings. They are determined that, if love is real, science should also be able to prove it. From September 1 through September 22, 2018, a four-episode live-action drama adaptation was aired. A live-action film adaptation premiered on February 1, 2019.
A Zero-G anime TV series aired from January to March 2020. The second season premiered in April 2022. Shinya Yukimura, a researcher at Saitama University, and Ayame Himuro use information science for research on the world’s systems. Each agrees that scientific experiments are necessary to solve the problem. They also need to measure their heart rate under various conditions. They also enjoy the company of their colleagues in their analysis cluster. Yukimura is the first collegian to enjoy scientific analysis. Although he likes Himuro, he is often overcome by awkwardness when things get intimate. Ayame Himuro might be the first collegian to be as fascinated by science as Yukimura. In the anime series, her hair is light and long. Yukimura’s first confession is made by her.

Science Fell in Love manga is compared to anime
This anime is based upon the Rikei Ga Koi ni Ochita de Shoumei shitemita anime series written and illustrated by Alifred Yamamoto. The Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It manga series has been published in Flex Comix’s Comic Meteor magazine since 2016.
Manga refers to chapters as “Proofs”. The web manga had reached Chapter 70 (Proof70) by the end of Spring 2022.
Spin-offs have also been created from the manga series, such as a Japanese live-action TV drama with just a few episodes that aired in 2018. In 2019, the live-action Science Fell in Love, So I Tried to Prove It movie was released.
Unfortunately, there is no North American publisher that has licensed the English translation of Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It.
Unofficial scanlation is possible, but Science Fell in Love, So I Tried To Prove It Season 2 Episode 12, was not released. The fan-made English translation of Volume 6: Chapter 31 was available.
It just so happens that this chapter corresponds to the end of the first season. Season 2 continued the story in Volume 6: Chapter 32.
The anime TV series Science Fell In Love, So I Tried To Prove It was the first season. It was an adaptation of the manga right up to the end. In order to make the most of the emotional scene on the bridge, Yukimura and Himuro had to reorganize story events.
Also, the first season’s final pushed back a crucial plot beat to allow it to be adapted in the second season. The manga shows that Naoya Shikijou asked Kotonoha Kanada out on a date just before they left Okinawa. This was the last panel of manga Chapter 31. However, this confession did not occur in anime until Season 4, Episode 4.
The second season was more liberal than the first in adapting the source material. Major plot points were rearranged and small gag scenes moved into new contexts.
Chapter 30 contains the scene in which a sick Himuro is embarrassed by Kanade’s intrusion that she covers Yukimura with her blanket. Yukimura had just carried Himuro across the bridge, and he put Himuro on his hotel bed.
Just as it seems that the couple are about to jump to another romantic landmark in their relationship, Kanade is concerned and pushes Yukimura between her legs. Yukimura was then one with the universe.
The gag was taken to a new level when Kanade’s legs started to shift in bed. Yukimura then began to calculate the orbits for three or more “celestial body” orbits. Yukimura was almost like a pretzel trying not to touch Kanade during the “chaos theory”.
Despite the many plot twists, the anime managed to create several cohesive story arcs. The second season was devoted to the introduction of the “Attachment Phase”, power couple Chris Floret & Suiu Fujiwara. It then began to develop Kosuke Inukai and Ena Ibarada as the second main couple. Season Episode 6 will resolve the story arc of the main couple.
The anime was able to concentrate on her backstory and how she became unhealthily obsessed with being deemed “normal” by removing the Naoya x Kanade story arc. Manga purists might debate whether this story was better than the original, but anime-only viewers thought the story flowed well.
You can see how the story arcs were rearranged in Episode 11: Science-types Fall in Love, So They Try Getting Married. This episode was taken from manga Volume 10, while Professor Kuze’s lecture about Neutrinos, and most of the events at the festival, took place in Volume 11.
Despite the extensive plot restructuring, the adaptation pace of the second season was very similar to the original. Each episode adapted a little more than two chapters (or portions thereof) per episode.
It is predicted that manga Volume 11 will be the end of Rikei Ga Koi ni Ochita Season 2 Episode 12.
This is the perfect ending point, since Kanade’s story arc has been resolved. It also works as a climax because the science guys stand up to save the science girl. This plot point is crucial for the setting of Science Fell in Love Season 3.
Unfortunately, there were not enough manga chapters to create Science Fell in Love Season 3. English-only viewers will have to wait for fan translation projects to catch up to be able to view the second season of the anime.
