What to expect from Shadow and Bone season 2 on Netflix
Let’s take a look at what season 2 will bring.
Here’s a quick recap of the first season. Our heroes are back in the fold and there will be more deaths. Kirigan uses Alina’s increasing powers to create a new tunnel light that allows passage through the darkness within this fold. It seems that the world has become more divided after a major fight broke out.
Many characters are still struggling to grasp the stags power. However, Alina sees that she and Kirigan can harness it.
Ben Barnes spoke about how his character would adapt to the new power that he has in season 2.
Jessie Mei Li in Shadow & Bone
Jessie Mei Li speaking to DigitalSpy also made some interesting comments about what we can expect.
It remains to be seen how closely the series will adhere to the books. While it’s not perfect, there have been some exceptions. However, the main plotline for season 2 should be consistent with Siege. Here’s the summary for the second book.
According to the season 2 synopsis, Alina and Mal will be on the run in search of another mythical target. This will help them fight Kirigan and possibly team up with a new ally.
Season 2 will feature The Crows, who will be prominently featured (and even rumored get their own spinoff series). They are back in Ketterdam and are up against old rivals.
Season 2 promises a season full of political intrigue, bloody battles and flying ships. We’re also promised a season filled with reunited friends, new nations, and a family secret that will thwart all expectations.
