Suppose a Kid From the Last Dungeon Boonies Moved to a Starter Town was originally a Japanese light-novel series written and illustrated by Nao Watanuki. It was adapted into manga by Hajime Fusmachi, which was published in Square Enix’s online manga magazine Gangan Online. An anime TV series adaptation by Liden Films premiered January 2021.

Story

Long ago, humanity’s ancient saviors founded a village to provide refuge. Their descendants are said to be able to help humanity during times of chaos. Kunlun is just a short distance from the “Last Dungeon”, a place where unimaginable monsters reside, and which also serves as the hunting ground for Kunlun residents.

Lloyd Belladonna, despite being used to defeating powerful enemies from childhood, considers himself the weakest villager in terms of intelligence, magic, strength, and will. To fulfill his dream of becoming a soldier, Lloyd Belladonna travels to Azami to study at its military academy. Lloyd’s inborn power may just be the key to ending the crisis that has engulfed the kingdom, even though his upbringing is beyond common sense.
