Peniche is notified by Frida that an inquiry has begun. The ranch is home to Linda and Morris snipers are present all around. Dante is injured and tricked by the Tavares band during the shooting. Peniche gives Dante permission to leave while also giving him cash, a passport and a weapon. To find Morris, he crosses the border. Pablito, his child, calls him. Dante requests that Frida not contact the police. Frida, however, takes a chance. Frida contacts an agent who is the brother to a convict and tells him that the inmate was a youngster who has lost his parents.

Frida discovers the complete history of Dante, a former soldier, and his rescue operation at La Rotunda in which he was betrayed. Frida confronts Dante over his actions. Linda pays Frida a visit in Texas. The judge’s daughter pretends to be Dante in order to visit the prison and help him find his son. Santito’s father is murdered. Tavares promises retribution.

Frida is kissed by Lazaro and asked to accompany him back to the USA. Dante Pardo doesn’t exist there and there are no legal issues. They chose Pablito: Linda, Frida. Dante escapes La Rotunda’s main entrance and is released in the middle of the chaos. He fools authorities by donning a firefighter outfit and escapes from the penitentiary. Frida bids him farewell.
