The Legend of Vox Machina season 2 was confirmed immediately after Amazon purchased season 1. Amazon ordered fourteen more episodes after a Kickstarter campaign funded the first season. This increased season one’s reach to 12 episodes. The same schedule is for season 2.

“We were completely floored by how enthusiastic we were received on the Kickstarter campaign, so now we can deliver exactly what the fans want and more,” Travis Willingham and Sam Riegel from Critical Role said in a joint statement.

“It’s exciting and surreal to team up with Prime Video to bring the series to viewers around the world – and we’re excited to be able to tell even more stories with not one but two 12-episode seasons!”

It takes time to create animated series, but Vox Machina‘s highly successful Kickstarter campaign in 2019 has given the team plenty of time to begin crafting season 2.
