Richard Jenkins is an actor that can move his head half an inch and be the pivot point in a movie. Richard plays the role of a 60-year-old man who has shut down all his emotions. He is a professor who has been teaching the same class for many years and doesn’t care about it.

Mr. Jenkins rejects a student’s late paper without asking about “personal problems.” He helps an elderly piano teacher to understand why she won’t be needed again. His lips are straight and do not smile or frown.

He has to travel from Connecticut to New York to present an academic paper that he co-authored. He protests the assignment and tells a colleague that he has agreed to sign his name on the paper in return for a favor. However, he hasn’t read the paper and is not qualified to present it. He must go.

He lives in Manhattan. Her boyfriend appears from someplace. When he tells them it’s his apartment, the interlopers are ready for police to come. They had rented it from a savvy opportunist.

These “roomers” include Tarek (Haaz) from Syria and Zainab (Danai Gura), his girlfriend from Senegal. They pack immediately and leave. They are able to stay the night if he appears at the top of the stairs. He will appear on the top of the stairs three times during the film. Each time, it is crucial.

Tarek is an African drum virtuoso. Walter’s wife, Waltera, was a well-known pianist. Although he loves music, he has never been able to learn the piano. Walter walks through Washington Square Park one day and hears two young black men drumming on the bottoms of plastic buckets. He stops to listen. After a while, his head starts to move half an inch per second in response to the beat. You are there.

The film is directed and written by Tom McCarthy and features a lot more. It’s about illegal U.S. residents, stupid bureaucrats, drums, love, and loss. Mouna (Hiam Absbass), Tarek’s mother, appears as a fourth main character. She lives in Michigan. After Tarek is detained in an innocent subway accident and threatened with deportation, she hopes to assist her son.

Walter has already hired an attorney. Walter is not a bleeding heart. He doesn’t make speeches or show emotion. But he feels things deeply for the first time after his wife’s death.

The Visitor Ending Explained

Joseph’s house had an inverted cross that suggested that Joseph was more of a demon cult leader and less of a Christian reverend. Even though he said he wouldn’t submerge the baby into the water to christen it, a different ritual was planned. Robert was being given the herbs from the beginning, through the drinks.

Robert turned into an evil person and killed everyone as a result. Kathy was killed by a snake bite at night. He found the snake’s shell in his backyard. Maxwell was also executed by Delacroix. This cult was likely started by Alistair Edgar who was either a satanist, or a human version of the “dark Lord” mentioned in the film.

It is possible that he believed one of his children would be a Satanic descendant. This is why Robert’s son, Lucian, was named after Lucifer. Extra-horrendous activities were also performed in the demonic ritual. Maia had to remove her placenta using her teeth. This cult uses women only to bear children. They become colorless after the child is born. This happens because they have completed their job.

This means that even though many attempts can break the evil chain, it cannot be broken. Just as the existence of death and destruction cannot be eliminated from the world. Balance is achieved when there is both positive and negative energy.

Robert left town carrying a photo of Edgar Eden his father to help him start over and maintain this balance. Robert wanted to accomplish the same things Alistair Edgar did to establish his authority, and spread his demonic religion to the people. The Visitor Ending Explained.

He was planning to send the picture to another country with a different group, spreading his evil and possibly bearing witness to the impending annihilation.

What was The Visitor’s Art About? Why was it important?

The Visitor Ending Explained. Robert is welcomed into the small town by all the residents as if he has been there for so many years. Robert was struck by the uncanny resemblance of this visitor’s portrait to his face. Maia was not the host who brought Robert to his destiny. She steadfastly avoided any danger signs from the beginning.

Maia discovered that the painting of this visitor, found in Maia’s ancestral home, was actually Edgar Eden, her father. Robert was also a part of Edgar’s family. Robert saw the old paintings in Delacroix and Joseph’s houses, but they were Alistair Edgar portraits. He felt that Alistair Edgar’s descendants resembled him almost exactly, and he found himself in each visitor’s painting.

But Maxwell did not show him images of Alistair Edgar, but of his identically related descendants. Alistair Edgar was born around 1700, and died a long time ago. Yet his descendants continue his wicked cultism and satanic deeds. The film does not explain where Robert ended up with the painting at its end.

Joseph had previously explained to Robert the story of the Alistair Edgar painting in his bedroom that he had given to the city. In return, the town was made his colony and his vassal. Robert may be giving the portrait to someone else as a gift. This would allow Robert to bring a new colony, and perhaps a fraction of his followers. Perhaps this art could help him discover his ancestors and give him the chance to start again. The Visitor Ending Explained.
