It’s been 10 years since the last one, yet fans are still waiting for Deadman Wonderland Season 2 to be released. The series is a thriller inspired by manga of the same title. The story has been composed by Kazuma Kondou. The illustrations are by Jinsei Kataoka.

Fans love it due to the plot along with the characters and the gore element that is present in Deadman Wonderland. The anime adaptation is made by Manglobe and is listed with 12 episodes. Although there are some distinctions from the original manga as well as the animated version, the first season of Deadman Wonderland is still an entertaining series to enjoy.

Are there plans for Deadman Wonderland Season 2?

For us, the likelihood that we will see Deadman Wonderland Season 2 is quite low. This is due to the fact that Manglobe, the studio that produced the first season, was forced to close its doors in 2015 as a result of massive debt, about 350 million dollars. But, it is possible to not give up hope.

Manglobe is no more, however, there is a chance that a new studio will pick it up. It’s not a new idea that an animation studio picks up an existing studio’s project. Therefore, we must see if there’s an animation studio that is looking to revive this Deadman Wonderland series.

It’s not necessary to worry about the lack of material in Deadman Wonderland Season 2 because there’s plenty to be covered. The manga ended a few years ago, however, the anime only adapts the initial 14 chapters. There are 58 chapters, which have been compiled into 13 volumes. Thus, there are 44 chapters that could be adapted for the sequel.

The first series ended with an open-ended ending, and was not an original one. This will make it simpler for the new studio to carry on the work that Manglobe had accomplished.

Based on the above possibilities, it is clear that there’s no official date of release for Deadman Wonderland Season 2. Do not expect much, however, don’t give up hope either.

As we mentioned before, it is now time to sit and wait for a new studio to take on the show. Manglobe did an excellent job beginning the series, but they’re gone. A reputable production company is required to bring back Deadman Wonderland. Unfortunately, we are selective, and if a firm wants to create another season of Deadman Wonderland, we are required to help them regardless of what.

The plot of Deadman Wonderland

Deadman Wonderland is a prison constructed following a devastating earthquake that almost devastated Tokyo. It has also served as an attraction park where prisoners from all across Japan are the main draw of the park. But, beneath the surface, there are some real horrifying events that happen within.

Ganta Igarashi is our main character. He is a middle-school student who is living a regular life following the earthquake that devastated the city. Ganta’s life is drastically altered after Red Man, a mysterious masked killer, arrives at his school and murders all of his classmates. He is left the only person to be spared.

After he is admitted to an infirmary, Ganta has been falsely identified as the perpetrator of the killing, which makes Ganta one of the prisoners in Deadman Wonderland. In Deadman Wonderland, he is reunited with an unknown girl named Shiro whom he claims is his former acquaintance. This is the beginning of the end for Ganta.

Romi Park voices Ganta and Hana Kanazawa portrays Shiro. The cast also includes Masayuki Katou ( Overlord), Iori Nomizu ( Date Alive), Daisuke Ono (Black Butler) as well as Yuki Kaji ( Attack on Titan).

Apart from the television show, there is also the OVA called Deadman Wonderland: The Red Knife Wielder. It tells the tale of how Kiyomasa Senji, as a police officer, is incarcerated during the film Deadman Wonderland.
