Season 2 of Emily in Paris picks up where season 1 left off. Gabriel ( Lucas Bravo ) remains in Paris, and Emily must decide if she will pursue a relationship and tell Camille that they slept together. She’s still trying her best to establish herself at Savoir. There’s also Alfie, a new, hunky love interest ( Lucien Laviscount).

At the beginning of Emily In Paris season 2, Emily decides she cannot date Gabriel because of his past with Camille. Camille discovers that the two had sex together, and is furious at Emily. But, they eventually reconcile and Emily falls for Alfie, an English businessman who sits beside her in French class. However, Emily still feels romantic feelings towards Gabriel.
Emily’s Chicago boss arrives in Paris. Madeline and Sylvie clash at Savoir over Sylvie’s approach to getting clients. Sylvie is even forced to include Gregory Elliot Dupree, a designer, in their roster despite Pierre Cadault’s ongoing feud with her. Pierre leaves the firm feeling betrayed.
Madeline attempts to put the blame on Sylvie’s decision to work alongside Gregory. Sylvie, along with the rest of the French team at the company, resigns and sets up her own agency. Alfie tells Emily that he was supposed to go back to London last week, but he stayed to form a relationship. He suggests that they travel between Paris and London and date. Sylvie offers Emily a job at her new agency. Emily must decide whether she will stay in Paris with Sylvie, or return to Chicago with Madeline.
Mindy confides in Emily and she lets it slip that she still loves Gabriel. Mindy encourages Emily to do the best for her career, but Emily tells Gabriel she is in love with him and stays in Paris to try to establish a relationship.
When she discovers that Gabriel and Camille have returned, Emily’s plans are halted. Emily runs to a bridge and starts to cry. Sylvie calls her shortly after and tells her: “I’ve made a decision.” And the season is over.

Netflix usually announces renewals within one month of a show’s release. But lately renewals have been more varied. Netflix revealed Emily in Paris season 3, and 4! One month has passed since the premiere of season 2. The show’s future after the two-season renewal is still uncertain.

It’s safe for us to assume that Emily will be in Paris season 3, which premiered just over a year after its debut. The third season of Emily in Paris is currently filming. Filming began at the beginning of June 2022. This means that there’s a good chance the third season will premiere in the first part of 2023.
