The Fly Team and Jaeger travel to Berlin in the wake of the discovery that the 19-year-old son of a billionaire American is unresponsive in his apartment. The team began to suspect foul play and realized that there was another group involved in the investigation. It turned out that the father’s security chief was responsible for giving Fentanyl to the adolescent, which led to his admission to the ICU and eventually his death.

Jaeger was fired because of a bureaucrat’s vengeance against her. But she had the last laugh when Forrester used a favor from up high to restore Jaeger’s job and expose the bureaucrat.

A wealthy man attempted to wait for someone, but was unsuccessful and took off in a private plane. The flight attendant asked him who he was waiting for after he took off. He mentioned a friend that he had lost and would never see again. He saw a missile racing towards him from the window and it destroyed the aircraft.

In a bittersweet moment, the Fly Team celebrated Jaeger’s promotion. This would be her final case with the Fly Team since she was promoted. The Fly Team was then briefed about a private plane reported to have crashed. After Forrester saw Greg Hutchinson, the jet owner (portrayed by Philip Rosch), Forrester was a little more excited. Kellet was taken aback. Evidence was found that the plane had been shot down by a surface-to-air missile. Kellett inquired about Forrester’s man. Forrester explained that he asked his mother for the Hutchinson files when he was in touch with his mother. However, he never got access to the actual file. Forrester was suddenly summoned to a private discussion…

Through a video conference, he spoke to his mother Angela Cassidy (portrayed by Elizabeth Mitchell) and learned more about Pavel Novikoff (portrayed by Alon Aboutboul). Novikoff was the Czar of all top Russian spies. He was supposed to board that plane and die! Kellett advised Forrester not to trust his mother. Forrester and his team began to investigate Novikoff. Aaron Serotsky portrays Agent Michael Rafferty. He was keeping an eye on Forrester, and asked for a meeting. Then, he confronted him about Novikoff. Rafferty believed Forrester was being played to please his mother.

Rafferty stated that he suspected Angela wanted the Hutchinson files in an attempt to clear her name, and expose Novikoff before the Kremlin. Novikoff fled however, before she could make her move. Rafferty explained that Angela was a Russian loyalist and used Forrester to locate Novikoff so she would kill him. Forrester discovered the true reason Rafferty accused him of investigating his mother. Forrester also discovered that Novikoff turned his mother against the United States. Rafferty ordered Forrester not to help his mother or he would risk his liberty.

Forrester was then contacted by his mother via video. She informed him that Novikoff wanted her to be his. Angela trusted her only and she only trusted her mother. He was told by her that Novikoff was in Pula (Croatian). Ken Dandridge, a bureaucrat (portrayed by Michael Torpey), arrived to supervise The Fly Team. He wondered why his superiors had given him the Hutchinson case. He demanded that they all concentrate and not move. Forrester refused to follow his orders and turned off his smartphone. He set out on a solo mission.

Jaeger recommended Astrid Jensen, a local Croatian authority (portrayed by Lotte Verbeek). Forrester met Jensen. Forrester reached out to his team to inform them about his whereabouts. He also asked them to keep his bosses informed. (Kellet refuted, but still assisted.) Forrester was willing and able to sacrifice his job and life for his mother, who was a traitor.

Dandridge confronted Forrester’s team to ask for their whereabouts, but they kept it tight-lipped.

Rafferty then intercepted Forrester at Pula and confronted Forrester about his reckless leadership. He was suddenly shot in the neck. Forrester was being attacked by two shooters who used a group of innocent people as cover. Jensen, in a dark sedan, raced up to the scene and shouted at Forrester to get in. They ended the firefight.

Forrester had to inform his team about Rafferty’s death and asked them to update Dandridge. He informed them that the shooters were the two suspects in the plane bombing. Forrester soon met Novikoff, and they agreed to safe passage out. Forrester was able to confide in Novikoff about Angela. He stated that her loyalty is with the U.S. They were ambushed by a car that was side-swiping Novikoff as Forrester was transporting him! They were found by the shooters. Jensen kept them back, while Forrester brought Novikoff to safety. However, they were forced to move.

Novikoff was hurt so they moved slower. One of the shooters suddenly caught up to them, and fought hard with Forrester. Novikoff gave him a knife, and the man was killed by Forrester. They were heading to Novikoff’s exfil, but the Russian agent said that his mother wanted them to flee. Forrester thought about going to her… They were spotted by another shooter who chased them, but Forrester led him to Jensen. Jensen was blocked off by police officers while the two of them escaped for the airport. The shooter managed to slip by. Novikoff was sent a coded message indicating that Angela had been compromised and that they should not attempt to contact her.

General Finley, portrayed by Moe Irvin, and Dandridge welcomed Forrester and thanked him for his efforts. Novikoff applied for asylum in the U.S. Angela was forced to surrender to the U.S. government to explain her loyalty.

Forrester thanked Jensen afterwards for her assistance. Forrester was then urged by his mother to forget all about her via video. He was devastated by her departure and their estranged relationship didn’t work. The Fly Team was thrilled to see Novikoff and Forrester safely land on American soil when they returned to base. Jaeger was promoted by the team. The shooter however, spotted them from a distance.

FBI: International season 2 plot

There aren’t many details yet about the new season of FBI International. Nevertheless, the finale of season 1 suggests that Scott Forrester (Luke Kleintank), may be trying to figure out what to do with his mother.

She tells him to forget all about her in the finale, as she is now preparing to “go black” after her undercover identity was compromised. He wasn’t thrilled to follow her advice. He will likely spend the next season looking for her between his cases. He must spend the majority of his time on the cases that will be covered in each episode.

Did we mention that Forrester, the assassin, got into a fight with and was still following him at the end of the final episode? Forrester might need to be saved, in addition to saving his mother. As we near the premiere of the season, we should be able to see a bigger picture of Forrester and all the main characters.
