Moonhaven Season 1 Recap
Bella Sway (McDonald), who is a lunar cargo pilot, smuggler and pilot, is the protagonist of the series. The story takes place 100 years into the future. She is accused of a crime, and finds herself stranded in Moonhaven, a utopian settlement on 500-square-miles Garden of Eden on the Moon. It was created to solve the problems that will soon end civilization.
Bella is a skeptic living in paradise and is involved in a plot to take control of artificial intelligence responsible for Moonhaven’s miracles. She teams up with Paul Serno (Monaghan) to stop the forces trying to destroy Earth’s last hope.
Tommschultz is an ex-military with a philosophical bent. He is the right-hand of the Earth’s lead diplomat to the Moon. His ambitions are altered by being instilled with a mind-altering moon drug.
Moonhaven’s final episode was a perfect example of the series: slow and plodding, but not overt. Although the dialogue was not as bad, there were moments when characters spoke in gibberish. At this point viewers either love the show and feel sympathetic for the characters or they don’t.
