A plot that looked lost could not be saved by amazing animation or admirable character designs. Roxy, the prodigal daughter, was the only character capable of directing this story about reincarnation. Roxy was absent the majority of Rudeus’ time in Rudeus’ village. Rudeus’ story was more fascinating than Roxy’s. She was born into a telepathic community. Rudeus was 20 years ahead of her, however, because she did not possess their signature abilities. Rudeus visited her parents. Although they appear to have missed Rudeus, it is unclear if Rudeus spoke for all of them. It would be clear to see how Roxy helped Rudeus learn demon text.
