The game is expected to be the most faithful to the series, with series creator Eiichiro Oda playing a significant role in its direction. One Piece Odyssey story

One Piece Odyssey will feature a completely new story, not seen in any of the anime or manga versions. Series creator Eiichiro Oda will also be acting as an advisor. The trailer shows that the gang has been separated and stranded on an unknown island following the Thousand Sunny’s destruction. Luffy also appears to be missing his straw hat.
Although the main story will see the Straw Hats reunite to try and escape the island, we know it won’t be easy. While there aren’t many details about the story at this time, fans can look forward to more information as trailers drop prior to launch.

Multiplayer

One Piece Odyssey is a single-player game. The number of players that are supported on the box will indicate this. This is a pirate adventure that you cannot bring your crew along for.

One Piece Odyssey Gameplay

One Piece Odyssey will allow players to take control of Luffy, the series protagonist, along with Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, Robin, Franky, and Brook. Combat is turn-based, so each character will have their own set of skills and playstyle. The game will be described as a “full-blown RPG,” which means that each character will unlock a variety of abilities as you go along the story. It’s not clear yet whether it is possible to select a group of characters to use in battle or if these are predetermined based upon the encounter.
The game will feature a significant portion of exploration on the island with Luffy. The trailer featured the captain climbing up a beautiful map with many dungeons and treasure to be found.
