In an effort to break through the Chanels’ sanity, Nurse “Suck a Hot Fart,” Hoffel took drastic measures in Tuesday’s Scream Queens season finale.
Hoffel took a page out of Donald Trump’s playbook and plotted to literally drain swamp, then use its highly explosive contents to blow up C.U.R.E. Hoffel blew up the C.U.R.E., killing every single unqualified employee or patient.
Hester was busy devising her own plan, and convinced Brock to propose to Dean Munsch to make him the hospital’s next trustee. According to the plan, Hester would rob the institute while Brock would live on Blood Island as “just two killers with no one else to murder but each other — but they never will because we love and believe in each other.”
Hoffel was able to trap the gang inside the basement after performing an insane brain surgery. Unfortunately, she failed to consider two important points: (1) Denise Hemphill survived the stay in the cryochamber, and (2) Quantico taught her how to disperse bombs! Here’s a quick summary of what happened during the final confrontation between Hoffel and the gang:
* Cassidy leapt in front Chanel No. Cassidy jumped in front of Chanel No. 3 to save her. He also lost his life trying to stop Hoffel from flying the butcher knife.
* Cassidy’s mother, who disowned him after he refused to do his bidding, was also murdered by Hoffel.
* Dean Munsch, who, it turns out doesn’t own Kuru, made a strong effort to get Hoffel out the fastsand behind the hospital… but failed.
* Chanel No. 5. She revealed that she has teeth in her genital area. Gross.
The episode’s final moments caused a slight time jump that revealed where everyone is today: Chanel No. 5 and Zayday now have the “top dogs” position at the hospital. Hester and Brock executed their plan to steal Munsch’s money and flee to Blood Island. Munsch then moved to Aspen where she became a “sexpert”. 1 finally got the talk-show gig she hoped for — No. 3 was her producer.
The season’s last scare came when Chanel, after filming Lovin’ theC, returned to her car and discovered a present. She also found the Red Devil in her backseat.

Review Before To Watch Scream Queens Season 3
Scream Queens managed to transform body horror into bloody humor using mindless medical students, deplorable physicians, and new candidates at the morgue in each episode. Early on, the Green Meanie was frighteningly elusive. The hospital hallways were filled with glowing goop that kept you guessing, if you had the time to take in all the Chanels’ scheming. The plot became stale as the swamp revealed too many secrets later on. Season 2 ended with a disappointing finale that was overblown on the fake-shock and low on suspense. It’s almost like Chanel’s brain, if she does have one.
If you haven’t been hiding behind a reptilian Beelzebub Mask, you will know who the Green Meanie (and has been). Wes, Grace’s psychodad from season 1, who also happens to have been Hester’s psychodad, had the highest body count before Nurse Awful made him a corpse in boiling oil. It was nothing to be grieved. Wes was a more shady character than Dr. Brock and more so because of his perverse progeny. Cassidy Cascade joined the murder spree because her homicidal mother, who happens to also be the sister to sleazebag Wes, wasn’t into DIY killing. She brainwashed her son and brother into taking revenge on her husband’s death by threatening them with hospitalizations.
Nurse Awful was responsible for the mask operation and then she put on the suit in an attempt to take down Chanel. Not surprisingly, she was the Last Meanie Standing when Cassidy rebelled against her revenge-obsessed mother at a busy restaurant without police. The final destruction plot was supervised by her. It began with her logging onto a suspicious website where you had to click “yes or “no” on the question “Are You a Terrorist?” to gain entry. She ended up with the party she wanted to end all parties. It is obvious that Hester was the master of ceremonies from the moment she was freed from her basement cell.
Too many elements were crammed into this episode. It took almost forty-five minutes to complete the episode, or an hour if you remove the holiday commercials with their jingle belling that are meant to get you in the mood between the murder scenes. This was enough to make you cringe. Even more disturbing was the fact that almost all of the strange romances ever to have existed in this episode (may Chad Radwell, Chamberlain be at peace) had to come to a strange end right as there should be as much suspense as the body count in a swamp. This is when romance and fetishes are just plain silly. It doesn’t matter if Chanel takes selfies more than sex, or if Hester (a notoriously terrible artist) has to draw in order to entertain herself in prison.
This episode’s overwhelming soap opera effect almost made the swamp into a bath tub. Too many heart complications led to a negative prognosis. It is not the right time to go on the internet looking for cheap engagement rings. Your fiancee could be holding a knife in her throat. Brock’s ulterior motives for sending Dean Munsch, a dying man, down the hospital corridor in his IV-attached wheelchair to wed him, to his three-timing and Hester interactions with Chanel and Hester when he didn’t find himself in Munsch’s hospital bed with a strained look, to #3 convincing Cassidy not to be used to control her machete-wielding puppet.
Besides Nurse Awful’s intentionally awful party, which was sparkling with cheap green anti-Chanel decor and those infamous champagne flutes of sparkling cider, but would actually make some great Pinterest fodder for next Halloween, the end of this ending was one long, painful I-knew-that-would-happen-since-three-episodes-ago moment. To prevent eye rolling, the fluffy pink aftermath should have been accompanied by pills. The teaser should make you see red. But for impatient patients, waiting until Season 3 is the best option.
