Star Trek: Picard Season 3 When? Release Date?Star Trek: Picard is a creation of Akiva Goldsman & Michael Chabon, for the streaming service CBS All Access, later rebranded as Paramount+. It is the eighth Star Trek Series and was first launched in 2020 as part of Kurtzman’s expanded Star Trek Universe. The series stars Jean-Luc Picard (retired Starfleet Admiral), with each season exploring different aspects and issues that arise in the final stages of a person’s life. The show has enjoyed two great seasons and fans are eager to see the third. We will try to provide all the information you need about Season 3 as well as a recap of the previous seasons.

This season ends Jean-Luc Picard’s (Sir Patrick Stewart) journey. With so many threads still tangled, “Farewell” manages to close the story of Picard and Q (John de Lancie), as well as the stories of Borg Queen Jurati (Alison Pill), Cristobal Rios (Santiago Cabrera), Elnor (Evan Evagora), which will likely make way for The Next Generation’s reunion in Picard’s final season.
Picard makes it back to the nexus in the season. What was the point of it all?
Rios forces Brent Spiner and Soong (Brent Spiner) to flee, while the new Borg Queen departs for the Delta quadrant. One task is assigned to the team: ensure Renee Picard departs with the Europa Mission. Picard flees Tallinn’s (Orla Brady’s) beam to the mission’s quarantine area, realizing that the Borg queen’s message that there should only be one Renee and that one must die was meant for her. Tallinn dismisses Picard’s attempts to save his life. To reach Renee, she uses Romulan holographic tech to disguise herself as Renee. Renee completes the mission. Romulan is poisoned by Soong. Picard saves Renee’s life but she gives it to Romulan. Q learns that Q is her only reality, and the two of them share a moment before Picard’s death.
Raffi (Michelle Hurd), Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan), and Rios find at Soong’s residence four jerry-rigged Missiles. This is a backup plan in case Renee isn’t able to be shot. They can use their missiles against each other, which foils Soong’s plan to kill Picard. This also eliminates any possibility that he may be powerful or wealthy in Q. Bummer.

Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Release DATE
Star Trek Day confirmed that Patrick Stewart has given his approval for the third season of Star Trek Day. Although the exact date of airing is not known, it will be in 2023.
Variety reports that season 3 was shot back to back. We don’t expect to be waiting too long. Season 3 will likely arrive in springtime. Season 2 was released March 2022.
What to Expect from Star Trek: Picard Season 3
Picard had two major events to contend with in the initial season of Star Trek. Picard had to deal with Data’s passing in Star Trek: Nemesis, 2002 (which Picard also struggles with throughout the season), and Romulus’ destruction of Star Trek 2009 (which was used to introduce the synthetic humans and prevent the rescue of Romulan refugees). This ultimately led Picard to resign from Star Fleet. Picard is forced by two synthetic twins to assist the synths.
Spoiler alert! This leads Picard to find the home of Data and becomes a synthetic at season 1 to stop his own death.
Picard has returned to his previous location. Now he is aboard La Sirena with a new crew. They are heading towards whatever adventure awaits. Picard is taken to 2024 by Star Trek: The Next Generation friends (e.g. Michelle Hurd’s Raffi Musiker, Jeri Ryan’s Seven of Nine). Picard and his friends must discover what Q (John De Lancie), an omnipotent, has done to change the timeline. This has created a xenophobic Starfleet variant – the Confederation of Earth. It is determined to eliminate all aliens.
Paramount+ does not plan to allow Jean-Luc Picard to retire.
The teaser trailer for season 3 shows Riker looking through his Star Trek: The Next Generation gear. Riker (Jonathan Frakes) is next, looking through his Star Trek: The Next Generation gear. The teaser suggests that season three will feature more returning characters, such as Brent Spiner as Data and Levar Burton as Geordi La Forge.

Picard season 3: Casting and crew
Paramount announced that LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Gates McFadden, Marina Sirtis (Brent Spiner), and Jonathan Frakes will join Patrick Stewart on Star Trek: Picard season 3.

US
Picard’s second series occupied Discovery’s Thursday slot on Paramount+. It premiered on March 20, 2022. It is still being viewed. Paramount+ will air the third season, although it has yet to be aired.
UK
Amazon Prime Video is Picard UK’s home. New episodes will start on March 4, 2022. Prime Video UK will likely have season three. But, it is not confirmed.
Canada
Crave Canada now has season 2 available. Season 3 will likely be available on Crave in early 2023, as we believe.
