Tales Season 3 Episode 9 Preview
In the closing episode, which premiered on September 20th, the 2004 song “Jesus Walks” (by Kanye West) was chosen as the song of inspiration.
The main character Jewel, 25, is an aspiring singer who wants to be recognized globally for her music. She sings Gospel songs for the church and has a loving boyfriend, but entering a record label deal has always been her dream. At the Cafe, her friends discuss her music and how her voice is good enough to be recognized globally.
Later that day, she gets contacted by Derek, a Music Producer. He invites her and her friends over to perform a song. After Jewel’s performance is done, he gets up and walks over to her and says she is a perfect fit for an upcoming Superstar. The next day, her boyfriend (who knows what happened) asks her if that is what she thinks is the proper path to follow. Jewel brushes him off and leaves.
That night she visited the Music Producer to talk about the songs she would be singing. She wakes up in his bed the next day, unable to remember how she ended up there. Derek lets her know that she drank a lot, but Jewel disagrees. He gives her a copy of the music he wrote for her. Its lyrics are not her kind, but she agrees to sing it for popularity.
Jewel and Derek get into a relationship, and he organizes a party for her. At the party, Jewel meets Shay, a singer with a couple of hits. Shay lets her know that Derek is simply using her and would throw her away after he is done using her.
Derek, to take revenge, leaks her photographs which leads her to be depressed. She consumes pills and is ready to die, but she sees her boyfriend and returns to life when her mother rescues her.
Tales Season 3 Episode 10 Release Date
The next episode of the series, titled “Survival of the Fittest” (music by Mobb Deep and Ill Of All), is set to release on September 27th, 2022. New episodes of the show are released every week on Tuesdays.
