When Will The Punisher Season 3 Release Date?

Marvel’s The Punisher season 3 was unavoidable. It will be back at the same time as season 2 on Friday, January 12, 2024. This is what we know about the upcoming part: cast, news, schedule, and rumors.

Netflix pulled the live-action Marvel series in February 2019. In a statement to Deadline, Disney addressed the cancellation at the time. “Our Network partner may have decided that they don’t want to continue telling these stories of these great characters… but, you know Marvel better than this.” This leaves the door open for their return.

Since then, fans have hoped for the return of Netflix Marvel Universe characters. In late 2021, Charlie Cox played the role of Daredevil again in Spider-Man No Way Home. Around the same time, Vincent D’Onofrio reprised his role of Kingpin in Disney+’s Hawkeye.

Filming is already underway and will be available on Disney+ by Spring 2024.

The Punisher Season 3: Plot

The Punisher Season 3: Plot

Right now, we don’t have any information about The Punisher Season 3.

Because we do not yet have an official statement, we cannot speak about production status or filming status.

Once the confirmation has been made, we may be able to find out more about the show’s return. The series will not be available on Disney+ or Hulu for a while.

Following the conclusion of The Punisher Season 2, there are some things you should consider. Frank is a construction worker during the day and transforms into “The Punisher” at night. His identity is kept secret by the mask he wears.

Season 2 concluded with Frank and Amy’s separation, which left viewers on edge.

So that we can understand the story of the next season, the show’s creator needs to release details. This seems to be a long wait.

The Punisher season 2 Review

The Punisher season 2 Review

The Punisher season 2 is the heavy-metal version. It’s a symphonic cacophony full of violence, character development, and dark humor that feels much more like a Punisher series.

It was enjoyable to see Frank’s transformation from soldier and family man into vengeance-fueled antihero. However, between his half-season on Daredevil, and his first full season of his show, it felt overwhelming. This season learns from all of its mistakes and tells the story of Frank Castle’s transformation into a vigilante with murderous intent. The whole season focuses on the fact that Castle is nothing other than The Punisher and embraces that fact with all its bloody glory. This is why he continues to use his unique talents against scumbag villains in a world that doesn’t seem to value his version of justice.

You can see the return of Billy Russo in the opposite corner. The Punisher, who had been implicated in the deaths of Frank’s family members, finally got dressed up and made an awful return. To further antagonize Frank, he returns in Season 2. Russo is still a threat thanks to Ben Barnes’s excellent performance, but Frank may not remember him as the man he was. It causes Russo to be off-kilter. Russo’s psychosis blurs between Castle, who once called him a brother, and Russo, the man who deserves to have his face smashed through the mirror twice. The stories of the villains never fit together as if they were puzzle pieces. Frank’s forced fighting on two fronts is a good recipe for escalation, and he has appeared in three of these series.

Ebon Moss Bachrach’s Micro is missing from the action, which is unfortunate because they had great chemistry in the first season. This season, however, doesn’t suffer as much for his loss because Giorgia Whigham plays Amy Bendix. She is a street-smart greifter who is constantly in over her head with some very bad people. She plays an important role in helping Frank find another war. Her real attraction is filling in the chemistry gap left by Micro.

She is about the same age as Frank’s daughter, and she helps guide The Punisher from being a pure mission to vengeance to one of repeat crime-fighter. She makes Castle’s decision to fight for his life less threatening and more a reflection of Castle. Pepper as Curtis Hoyle, Jason R. Moore’s return, and you have a fun, but twisted, crew to follow.

The Punisher season 2 Review

The Punisher Season 2 is a success for its action sequences. The first season did not show the excessive, Garth Ennis-style violence that many fans expected, but this season is filled with bloody fist fights and gun battles that entertain, while still giving the character a sense of reality. It’s not a perfect season of television, but it does have some improvements in tone, action, and character. There are a few bad episodes, as with most shows. I’ll start with the worst.

If you have seen the trailer or are curious about Russo as Jigsaw’s character, it is worth noting that many comic book fans expected his injuries to be severe and horrific. A facial scarring like this should make a man feel a little bit like a monster after he has lost his family, business, and reputation. It can be argued that Russo’s vanity made it possible for him to become the big bad that Castle needed. The show fails to highlight the vanity and narcissism of Russo. Instead, Russo is treated from the perspective of chronic pain and not any outward-facing deformity which causes a change in his personality. It doesn’t take a horror film deformity to show why someone is so angry with their hero. But in Russo’s case, it was not enough.

The next bit of bad news, and it will be hard for those who were eager to get into the season, was that the first half is just plain bad TV. It’s ridiculously slow and hilariously wholesome considering the context. The episode makes up for the loss in the second half. If you can find it, it sets the tone for the rest of the season. However, first impressions are important and Punisher Season 2 is not a good one.
