IT’S BEEN MORE THAN A YEAR since The Umbrella Academy wrapped its second season in the 1960s with a cliffhanger straight out of It’s a Wonderful Life, and viewers were wondering if this beloved series would continue for a third season.

WHAT IS THE PLOT OF THE UMBRELLA ACADEMY SEASON 3?

According to the official synopsis, the Umbrellas clash at the Academy with a new Hargreeves family known as the Sparrows. Meanwhile, a mysterious force descends on the city and wreaks havoc as the doomsday clock ticks. As the original children try to reverse the time paradox and fight the evil entity they may have unleashed in their decade-shifting hijinks, an obvious rivalry will erupt.

The major change in Season 3 is the removal of Vanya’s character. She has been changed to Viktor to better align with Ellen/Elliot Page coming out as transgender for the 2021 season.

WHO STARS IN THE CAST OF UMBRELLA ACADEMY SEASON III?

For The Umbrella Academy Season 3, series regulars Tom Hopper, David Castaneda and Emmy Raver–Lampman (Allison), Robert Sheehan (Klaus), Aidan Gallagher (“Number Five”), Elliot Page (“Viktor”) are confirmed.

Colm Feore, Ritu Arya (Lila Pitts), Adam Godley (“Pogo”) and Jordan Claire Robbins (“Grace/Mom”) are all expected to return in familiar and new forms.

Justin Cornwell, Britne Olford, Jake Epstein and Genesis Rodriguez are the new cast members of The Sparrow Academy’s alternate timeline. Cazzie David is also a part of this cast.

Netflix has released the final trailer for The Umbrella Academy Season 3. It was released on May 19. The trailer is filled with witty wisecracks, Number Five wearing normal clothes, superpowered siblings going Mano A Mano and Pogo as an aging, cigarette-smoking, tattoo artist.

WILL THERE BE A UMBRELLA ACADEMY Season 4?

Although it is not confirmed, it is believed that Netflix has already renewed The Umbrella Academy for a fourth season. However, no plot details or casting announcements from showrunner Steve Blackman have yet been made.
