Mildred Hubble is a new witch who has joined Miss Cackle’s Academy for Witches. It is a school of magic. Mildred is a good-hearted girl, but her clumsy personality and inability to control her emotions make her a difficult student. Mildred’s kind headmistress Miss Cackle is always understanding. Miss Hardbroom, Mildred’s form teacher, thinks that she isn’t working hard enough.
