Paramount+ Channel has announced the release date for Tulsa King season 2. New episodes will be available on January 7, 2024. This is all you need to know about the second season.

Drama Crime Television Series Tulsa King was premiered on Paramount+ Channel in the USA on November 13, 2022. The TV Series aired 9 episodes per season and aired on Sundays at 12:01 am. It was produced jointly by Regina Corrado (Co-executive Producer), and Allen Coulter (“Executive Produce”).

New episodes are released every Sunday and last for minutes. Average rating of 7.8 from audience.

Details of the plot are still being kept under wraps, but Tulsa King may follow in Yellowstone’s footsteps and launch a series of interconnected spinoffs that revolve around either the Oklahoma setting or Invernizzi criminal enterprise.

Tulsa King Season 1 summary

Dwight Manfredi, who has just been released from federal prison for 25 years, is now a free man. He was convicted of a murder that was not his fault and neither his mafia nor his real family wants him around. His boss from the Invernizzi crime clan sends him to Tulsa, where he gets a fresh start. He’s not a fish out of water but he quickly adapts to the city and introduces the old-school New Yawk City mobster swagger.

He creates a crew that includes Tyson (Jay Will), his driver; Manny (Max Casella), an ex-Invernizzi soldier who fled to Tulsa many years ago and returns to life when Dwight arrives; Bodhi Starr, the owner of a marijuana dispensary Dwight “partners with” on a money laundering venture; Mitch (Garrett Hedlund), an ex-con and owner of the Bred-2 Buck bar. Dwight has a relationship with Stacy Beale, an ATF agent. She is conflicted about her feelings for Waltrip ( Ritchie COSTER), and they run into trouble.

Dwight and his team defeated Waltrip in the finale after a shootout at the Bred-2 Buck set to Phil Collins “In the Air Tonight”. They also cut ties with the Invernizzis and told Chickie (Domenick Lombrozzi) that they wanted to “pack your s***, and get on a flight and stay the f*** away from my town.” Three months later, everything looked fine. Dwight’s business was flourishing, his relationship was greatly improved with Tina ( Tatiana Zappardino), and the Bred-2-Buck was reopened after renovations to fix all the bullet holes and blood. The good times didn’t last.

Stacy’s ATF supervisors discovered her relationship with Dwight and the million-dollar bank accounts he gave her. They threatened to fire her if she didn’t turn in her lover. In the final minutes of the episode, Stacy completed her task and set Dwight up for arrest by the feds. Again.

Tulsa King Season II renewal

Tulsa King was officially renewed for Season 2. This news was made after three episodes had aired.

There could be many more shows in the Tulsa King universe. Taylor Sheridan is involved in the universe building industry — Yellowstone already has two spin-offs — so it’s possible that Tulsa King could have its own spin-off. “The enormous success we’ve had Tulsa King and Sylvester Stallone opens doors to Taylor Sheridan. His mind works in terms of universes and backstories so I think there are always more possibilities,” Tanya Giles, Paramount Global streaming chief, told Indiewire. It sounds promising!

Tulsa King Season 2 storyline

Season 2 is likely to pick up immediately after Dwight’s arrest. Dwight now faces legal problems that he didn’t have in Season 1. This opens up new possibilities for storytelling. We don’t think Chickie will allow Dwight to disrespect him or walk away from his family so easily. So we expect that the simmering conflict will heat up in a major way next season.

Dwight will need to build a team as he wanders through unfamiliar streets without seeing any familiar faces. What can Dwight offer the local bandits to get them to pay attention to his back?
