Y: The Last Man has been canceled for a second season. The series was taken off FX’s Hulu content and was searching for a new home network. Although I have not read the source material, I cannot comment on how this portrays the apocalypse. However, the show has done a great job of adding a sense of dread to the story and a countdown clock counting down to the disaster. It remains to be determined how and why, but we already see a political bent.
It seems that Hollywood is displaying many male characters in an unflattering light. This trend is also evident in this episode. It’s hoped that with all of them now dead, this will help to reduce the problem in the upcoming episodes.

It is a shame that Y: The Last Man was canceled after the first season. Even worse, it was the second season when the story was about to get better.
