Yurei Deco is a unique Japanese anime TV series directed by Tomohisa Shimoyama, written by Dai Satō, and animated by Science SARU. It aired from July to September 2022. Yurei Deco Season 1 Preview

The Professor, who oversees the Neo Animal Museum, which serves as a zoo with artificial animals, is the sender of the message. The Professor has created a duplicate of a Nue and claims that his illustration is the most accurate, while Decopedia’s illustration is untrue. He requests that the YDC update the Decopedia entry on the Nue to reflect its real nature.

To adjust the Nue file, Berry and Hack smuggle themselves into the Decopedia Hyperverse. They divert their attention, though, and convey a creature that has little resemblance to a Nue. A new Nue craze is finally started when the changed Nue manages to escape from Berry and Hack and spread over the city network.

The Professor refuses to pay for the work because he’s dissatisfied over their failure. The Professor and Decopedia are both mistaken, as Madam 44 exhibits that she was able to find an actual book announcing that Nue is an imaginary being. Hack becomes enraged after Berry accidentally exhibits that she tried to view Hack’s profile in Customer Service’s database during their confrontation about whether or not to tell the Professor.

When Berry sees the Professor, he confesses that he was conscious that the Nue was fictitious from the start and regretfully deletes his Nue. The Decopedia entry on the Nue will soon be removed, and society will soon be passionate about axolotls.

Berry is discouraged by these happenings, and Finn suggests she apologize to Hack because even Yurei have secrets they’d like to keep hidden. Until she learns that Hack has accessed her school data, Berry attempts to apologize. The Professor, meanwhile, abandons his tries to duplicate the Yeti and the Loch Ness Monster. Later, a fresh customer comes to the YDC.

Yurei Deco Season 2 Release Date

As of August 2022, Yurei Deco hasn’t been renewed for a 2nd season. No official declaration has been made about the show’s future. So the good news for the enthusiasts is that it hasn’t been canceled yet and is anticipated to be renewed for another season, but we can’t verify it without the official declaration. Yurei Deco Season 2 Plot /Synopsis/Storyline

In the digital city of Tom Sawyer, humans compete for “Love,” which is just like getting likes on social media. Through the Decoration Customizer, better referred to as “Deco,” a hologram tool implanted in a person’s eyes from early childhood, residents of this augmented reality exchange Love for government services and avatars that could change their appearance.

The citizens of Tom Sawyer are kept under tight control by the government, and their lives are peaceful aside from when Phantom Zero, a shadowy thief who reduces all Love around to zero, occasionally shows up. Berry, a mischievous woman enamored of Phantom Zero, lives contentedly in Tom Sawyer’s system until her Deco malfunctions and she is able to view Hack, a disguised trickster.

Berry pursues the suspect, believing him to be Phantom Zero, and in the manner starts to learn a number of society’s best-kept secrets. As it turns out, Hack isn’t the only character breaking the regulations of the system and Tom Sawyer’s shiny colors disguise a darker nature.

Synopsis

The story takes place on Tom Sawyer Island, where everyone’s lives revolve around the usage of an augmented reality system called Deco and a currency called Love. Berry, an average woman with a broken Deco that shows her things others cannot see, meets Hack, a woman who appears like a boy.

Charmed by Hack, Berry meets up with the crew Hack leads, the Yurei Detective Club. Members of this club are “socially dead,” working invisibly in the digitally controlled society of Tom Sawyer Island. As she works with the group, Berry learns about Phantom Zero, a mysterious figure who lurks within Tom Sawyer’s underground. She and Hack determine to chase down this figure, and in time, the truth behind the city is revealed…

Storyline

The story opens with Berry, a normal teenage woman from a normal family, meeting Hack, a woman who has the appearance of a boy. Berry runs into Hack’s crew, the Ghost Detectives Club, after being won over by Hack. Members of this club operate covertly in Tom Sawyer Island’s digitally controlled society as the “socially dead.” Berry discovers Phantom Zero, a shadowy figure who hides in Tom Sawyer’s underbelly, as she collaborates with the organization.

She and Hack determine to go after this person, and eventually, the city’s key is revealed. A social credit system referred to as Decoration Customizer, or simply “Deco,” governs society in the island town of Tom Sawyer. People acquire “Love,” which is used as payment for services, and labor to develop their Deco avatars, which are visible through a holographic augmented reality tool implanted in their eyes. A little woman named Berry is curious about finding Zero, a fictitious criminal who is rumored to decrease the Love of anybody he comes into contact with to zero.

While Berry is traveling to the hospital to have a Deco show in her right eye mended, she discovers a person who is invisible to Deco sight playing jokes on humans and stealing their love. Berry tries to capture the robber, believing it to be Zero, but is unsuccessful. Using a recovered surveillance tool, Berry forces the thief into another encounter until they are both caught in a Zero Phenomenon event, wherein a figure the thief is aware of as Zero arises in front of them.

Berry

Berry is the protagonist of the story. She is a citizen of ‘Tom Sawyer’ Island, a city that is digitally controlled. Berry is a regular Tom Sawyer Island city woman. She has an obsession with finding a criminal called ‘Zero’ in the city. After meeting a woman named Hack, which Berry is charmed by immediately and whom she befriends, Berry comes to find out about a real criminal called ‘Zero Phantom’ and works with the crew that Hack leads to capture the criminal.

Finn

If only he had a sense of humor. The leader of the Yurei Detective Club. Developer of a tool known as SOS, which he makes use of to skillfully create Hyperverse spaces. A quality chef.

Mister Watson

Mister Watson is the Yurei Detective Club’s resident informant. Mute and usually clad in a cat costume. Loves rumors, and makes a habit of gathering those heard throughout the island.

Hank

Can repair anything and make anything. The Yurei Detective Club’s resident engineer, who collects junk from all around the island that he can make pretty much anything from. The writer of Finn’s personal SOS.

Hack

She is the woman that Berry meets and befriends. Hack is the leader of a group called ‘Ghost Detective Club’ they work to investigate a criminal lurking in the city referred to as ‘Zero Phantom’.
