Mizuto is the main male protagonist of the Tsurekano series. He is an introverted high school boy who has a high level of intelligence and a love for books. After their parents divorced, he moved in with his ex-girlfriend.

Irido Mizuto’s Appearance

Mizuto is a brown-eyed man with black hair. Mizuto doesn’t care about what other people think of his appearance. He wears whatever is most comfortable to him. If he is properly groomed, he can look very handsome. (Apparent in Volume 1 Chapter 7 of The Light Novel). His baby-like appearance is often referred to as making him cute. He is usually a blank-faced guy, as books are all he cares about.

Irido Mizuto’s Personality

Before the series, Mizuto was an introvert and an otaku who did not care about others. Mizuto is a typical high school student, but is distant from other students. Mizuto loves books so much that his classmates called him a “bookworm”, which he didn’t hate. Since he was a young boy, he has enjoyed reading books. He read all genres of literature. His current results are in the double-digit mark of the mock national exam. He is also a top student and competes with his sister in the high school exam for first place.

Background

He met Yume Irido while he was in his second year of middle school. They became close friends. She confessed to him just as summer vacation was about to begin, and they became a couple. They kept their relationship secret because they were both terrible at socializing with other people.

This was when Yume improved her social skills at the beginning of the third year while Mizuto remained the exact same. Mizuto began to be too cautious about wanting to control her. Their relationship was strained and eventually ended. He received word from his father before he entered high school that he would be remarried. He was initially happy, but then he learned that Yume, his ex-girlfriend, would be his step-sister. This shocked and devastated him.
