Irido Yume, the main female protagonist of the Tsurekano series. Former Kano of Mizuto. Ayai is the maiden name. The series’ female protagonist. When her parents divorce, she moves in with Mizuto Irido, her ex-boyfriend.

Background
Yume Ayai was her mother’s name before she remarried and joined the Irido family. Her mother divorced her father because he was too busy at work and didn’t care about the family.
She was also Mizuto’s second year of middle school, and they split before they graduated. Her mother informed her a month later that she would be remarried.
She scored a double-digit math score on the national mock exam in academics. This is good enough to be able to compete with Mizuto in high school for the top grade.
Yui’s mother was also single, but unlike Mizuto who lost her mother before her awareness, Yui remembers her father who divorced her mother.

Yuni Irido
- Yuni Irido is Yume’s biological mom. Her divorce from her previous husband came after he was too busy at work and did not associate with her family. Yume was raised by her single mother until she married Mineaki Irido, who supported Yume through middle school.

- Mizuto: Yume’s middle school ex-boyfriend. She became Mizuto’s older sister after she broke up with him one month later.

- Akatsuki Mini: Yume considers her best friend. Yume talks to her about all of her problems with her love. They talk often about their pasts, and they think they have had similar experiences.

- Mineaki Irido – Mizuto Irido later became her stepfather. He is a father who can distance himself from her life without affecting it too much. Yuni often asks him to agree with his daughter. He reminds her of Mizuto, which is why she is attracted to him.
