Why is Boruto So Bad? Learn all about our reviews
Many people felt mixed emotions when Naruto Next Generations was revealed. There was immediate speculation about what would happen after Naruto was over. Soon afterward, it became clear that the series would feature Naruto’s son as the main focus.
Shonen Jump needed to fill the void left behind by Naruto, so they created Boruto: Naruto Next Generations to help them fill that gap. With its debut chapter, the manga was a huge success. This sparked many controversies. Fans were thrilled with the manga’s quality writing. It was obvious that the manga would be adapted into anime. It hasn’t gone well. We will now discuss five reasons that the series has failed and five reasons it should succeed.
5 Reasons Boruto is a Flop (& 5 Why It Isn’t)
10 Flop: Inconsistent level of animation
Animation is key to anime series’ success. Boruto has good animation but not the best. Studio Pierrot produces the anime and all animators do their best. Sometimes the animation is of the best quality. Other times it is less so. The Boruto anime is a weekly one. It is difficult to produce a weekly animation and it takes a lot of time. Some seasonal anime, such as My Hero Academia or Attack on Titan, have better animation because of the time they are given.
9 Not Flop: Sales
The sales are a clear indicator of Boruto. Even though the series hasn’t started, there has been plenty of support from fans, especially those who are Boruto lovers and haven’t yet watched Naruto. It is one of the most watched series. It’s hard to believe that it’s so popular, despite all the negative aspects.
8 Flop: Too many fillers
Naruto‘s reputation was marred by the large amount of fillers. The fillers took a huge hit to Naruto’s reputation. They were initially okay, but as they grew in popularity it was not a popular choice with fans. Boruto continues down the same path which is a shame.
The studio cannot do much if there isn’t enough material to create the animations.
7 Not a Flop: The Story
The story is the best part of the series. You will have read the manga to know that the adaptation of the material is going to be amazing. Boruto manga has a thousand times more value than the anime. The anime is directionless at the moment. The anime lacks any real substance and is mostly just filler. The manga is different, however, and is well written. If you have trouble watching the anime, don’t panic. It will be worth the wait.
6 Flop: Rushed
Boruto has been created in a hurry and is immediately noticeable. It was not planned. It was not planned properly by the people who worked on it. They just wanted to make the anime available to Naruto viewers. Shonen Jump was left with Naruto as its last title. They wanted to keep the sales and all that Naruto brought Jump. So they decided that bringing out Boruto would be a good idea. The sales numbers are impressive, but the fans are unhappy.
5 Not a Flop: Huge Fan Base
The series has a small fan base, which is one of its few strengths. When Boruto: Naruto Next Generations was revealed, Naruto fans were ecstatic to be able to watch their beloved “Gutsy Ninja”.
Naruto is read by almost all Boruto fans, which is a large number. This is not to mention the fact that many other people also watch the series. This helps increase the number of viewers and makes the series incredibly popular.
4 Flop: Power Scaling

The power scaling was seriously impacted by the Boruto animation. The recent episode in which Urashiki Otsuki was defeated by a group of children and Jiraiya. They were able to take down an Otsuki who had so much power. The fans were not pleased.
3 Not a Flop: Naruto & co

As we have repeatedly stated, Naruto is largely responsible for the success of Boruto. Many Naruto viewers who continue to watch the series are a result of Naruto’s presence in it. The new anime features many characters in addition to Naruto. This has made the show a lot more enjoyable, especially considering the sheer number of fillers.
2 Flop: Character Handling
Boruto – Naruto Next Generations focuses on the next generation ninjas. There would be many new characters. There have been many characters introduced, but they have not been dealt with well. Iwabee is a good example. At first glance, he seemed like an intriguing character. He has had to suffer a lot from not being given enough screentime. He was not even introduced in the manga. The other characters also haven’t been given enough screentime.

1 Not a Flop: Brand New Concepts

Fans love the variety of new items that have been added to the series. First, the impact of scientific technology on the series. The series has featured many different technologies. The series is full of creativity, from artificial arms to laser beams. “Karma” is another unique feature. Karma, a concept that is both intriguing and likely to play a major role in the series, has been introduced. There is also Kara, a new criminal organisation in Boruto.
