Why does the Lion attack humans in Beast?
The film opens at night in the South African rainforest. We are then introduced to poachers, illegal hunters who kill animals and then sell their bones and pelts on the black market. One pack of lions is being killed by poachers. But, they only kill the females. The main male lion escapes. He attacked some poachers and killed some.
This is when we meet Nathan, who has just arrived in South Africa for the first time in many years. Nathan is accompanied by his two daughters. Nathan’s wife, the mother of her daughters, has died recently, and they are all grieving. Martin, an old friend, welcomes them. The girls call him “Uncle Martin.” Martin takes them home, where it is revealed that Nathan’s relationship with his daughters is quite strained.
Mare, her older daughter, blames him because he wasn’t there when her mother died. Worse, Nathan is a doctor. He blames himself because he couldn’t see signs of her sickness, and it was too late when they discovered it. Mare feels that they aren’t being appreciated. Norah (the younger daughter) feels disappointed in her family’s fighting and nothing else. She misses the moments when they could laugh together.
Martin took his family on a ride the next morning. Martin is a reserve guardian. His primary responsibility is to care for the animals in the reserve. Martin introduces the male lions to Martin. One of the lionesses has a broken foot. Martin believes it could have been a bullet wound. This would suggest that there are poachers around.
Martin sets out to investigate and finds everyone dead in a nearby village. All of the bodies were not shot but killed by an animal. Martin suggests Nathan and his daughters hide in their car, while he investigates. Sadly, Martin is attacked and killed by the lion. Later, Nathan and the girls in the car are attacked by the lion. This beast is wild. It can get through Nathan’s windshield and injures him.
Nathan Can Kill the Lion In Beast!
Nathan and the girls are looking for a tranquilizer rifle. Nathan and the girls manage to locate it. Nathan attempts to shoot it but it’s too fast. Norah grabs a dart and hits the lion’s ass with one of them. The Lion runs away. Mare goes to rescue Martin without his permission. Nathan performs surgery as good as he can to save Martin’s life.
They are found by poachers when they arrive at night. Poachers realize that Nathan is carrying Martin in his car and they prepare to attack. However, the lion wins the battle. Nathan takes the opportunity to look for the keys to the poachers’ truck. He finds the keys and returns to his truck. However, the lion attacks the truck with Norah on the outside and Mare on its inside. They fall from a steep cliff after the lion flips the truck upside down. Mare and Norah managed to escape quickly. Martin, however, is still inside the truck.
Martin sacrifices himself to hurt the lion, as he takes his zippo and ignites the truck’s gasoline. Nathan turns the poacher’s car on and leaves the area with his daughter. Unfortunately, Mare has been injured in the attack and Nathan must treat her injuries. They make a stop at an abandoned school to look for supplies. The lion suddenly appears and is ready to attack. Nathan is ready to defend his daughters by taking the lion to its grave.
Nathan and the lion are fighting and it feels like all is lost. Nathan may have injured the lion but it is still more powerful than Nathan. Nathan is able to move the lion into territory that Martin and Martin had seen the previous day. The lions attacked the injured lion together, and they finished it off.
Nathan survives his massive wounds, and then he can finally visit his wife’s favorite spot in the jungle and take a picture of himself with his daughters. The family is now one.
