Artemis, a rogue AI that was supposed to help automate the global workforce, instead chooses to fight against humanity in the year 2062. Twenty years have passed since the Artemis Project collapsed, and Empress, a young girl, awakens in an underground research facility located at a specific base. She is one of three remaining guardians of humanity. She has no memory of the past. She only knows what the colonel of the peace-building forces tells her.

Her task is to destroy the orbital elevator that connects Earth and the moon. It is currently being constructed by Artemis. The mechanized army mass-produced on Earth will attack Earth if she fails to do so. She is stopped by Dead Master and Strength, who she believed were her allies. Artemis’ unmanned forces and Smiley, a member of the “Educational Institution” religion, are also standing in her path. Black Rock Shooter: Dawn Fall Season 2 Plot

Black Rock Shooter was created from original characters by illustrator huke, which were uploaded to his Pixiv account in December 2007. Inspired by the artwork, Ryo of Supercell created “Black Rock Shooter” with Vocaloid Hatsune Miku’s vocals. It was uploaded to Nico Nico Douga in June 2008 and had more than 2.2 Million views by August 2008.

To date, several manga adaptations have been made. There have been several manga adaptations of the Manga Black Rock-chan, a four-panel manga illustrated by Ringo. It was published in Kadokawa Shoten’s 4-Koma Nano Ace magazine, April 2011 to March 2012. Also, there was Black Rock Shooter by Sanami Suzuki, which was serialized from July 2011 through June 2012 in Young Ace magazine. Three tankobon volumes were released. Black Rock Shooter by Innocent Soul was serialized by Sanami Suzuki in Young Ace magazine, from July 2011 through June 2012, and was published in Comptiq from August 2011 to September 2012.

It has inspired several video game adaptations. These include Black Rock Shooter: The Game, which was developed by Imageepoch, and released on the PlayStation Portable in August 2011. Petite Rock Shooter was released on Nico Nico Douga in March 2011. Petite Rock Shooter: Sexy Wakusei o Oe was also released by Imageepoch in September 2012.

Original video animations (OVAs) of the series were first released by Ordet in a 50-minute format. It was directed by Shinobu Yoshioka and released initially as a Pilot Edition by Good Smile Company in September 2009. DVDs followed the year. The eight-episode television anime series Black Rock Shooter, which aired from Feb. to March 2012, was produced by Ordet and featured CG animation by Sanzigen.

In September 2021, a new TV anime series called Black Rock Shooter – Dawn Fall was officially announced. Bibury Animation Studios and Bibury Animation CG are producing it. Tensho is the director. Series composition and scripts were written by Makoto Fukami. Concept designs and series compositions were created by Rui Tomono and Makoto Ishiwata. Character designs were made by Yo Nakagawa and Masayuki Nakagawa. The opening theme song of the anime is “ASEED” from ZAQ. The ending theme song, “Before the Nightmare”, is by Kanako Takatsuki. The anime will air in Japan on April 3, 2022, on Tokyo MX and Sun TV. It will also be broadcast on KBS Kyoto, and TV Aichi.
