The hilarious show ended years ago, and the viewers are waiting for Cautious Hero Season 2. It’s an adaptation of the novel with the same title composed by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota.

If you’ve seen the long light novel’s name, it is one of the titles. The Japanese name of the novel refers to Kono Yuusha Ga Ore Tueee Kuse ni Shinchou sugiru.

Light Tuchihi began the serialization as a web novel in 2016 and was published on the site Kakuyomu, which is owned by Kadokawa. Fujimi Shobo then acquired the title and began publishing the first volume in 2017. The publisher also published Manga adaptations in the year 2018 with Monthly Dragon Age magazine. To reach the North American audience, Yen Press licensed the light novel.

In the same year when the Manga adaptation was being developed, White Fox announced the production of the anime TV series. Masayuki Sakoi, who had worked for Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online, directed the show. The show aired from October 2 through December 27, 2019, and was categorized as having 12 episodes.

Although it hasn’t been too long since the show was over, fans are looking forward to watching Cautious Hero Season 2. The earlier it is, the more enjoyable. What do you think? Is it confirmed? We have all we are aware of about it.

Is there going to be Cautious Hero Season 2?

It is possible to say that the odds are high for this particular one. First, let’s look at the source material. In the initial series of Cautious Hero, White Fox only adapted two volumes of the light novel. Light Tuchihi has released seven volumes in the past, with the series still in progress. Therefore, the material is not an issue.

The second question is, do you think White Fox (The Devil Is a Part-Timer! Akame Ga Kill Goblin Slayer, and Grimoire of Zero) will pick it back up? It’s possible that the answer will differ.

Although there aren’t too many movies that receive sequels from White Fox, there are a few different instances. Re:ZERO: Starting Life in Another World got a second season in the past few months, as did Goblin Slayer. Goblin Slayer got the sequel as an anime film.

The previous title we talked about will also receive the second season. However, as of now, we don’t know for sure what the status is. White Fox is the studio behind it.

Another case of this is Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest. White Fox, with studio asread, co-produced the initial season. The show will be relaunched with an additional season starting in 2022. Studio MOTHER will replace White Fox as co-producer.

It’s not a negative indication. If we keep these thoughts in mind, Cautious Hero Season 2 may be on the horizon and even be created with White Fox.

Cautious Hero Season 2 Release Date

There is no official announcement regarding the release date for Cautious Hero Season 2. Also, there is no indication of the show being canceled.

In the earlier segment, the expectation for a second season is very high. Kadokawa, the owner of the license for the series, will not forget about Cautious Hero. The characters from the show are featured in Isekai Quartet, the anime series featuring a variety of individuals in the isekai light novel that was published under the Kadokawa imprint.

Also, we inform you of the fact that this show ended in the year 2019. Thus, there is a lot of time to go before making Cautious Hero Season 2 a reality.

Does it have merit?

What do we think? Yes. The Cautious Hero is the type of show you’d like to go to if you’re a lover of Isekai and seeking something more mellow like, say, Attack on Titan. Seiya is an over-powered person who’s too careful. This is a humorous character that is similar to Saitama from One-Punch Man when you take out the element of prudence. He has the ability to take down several powerful foes effortlessly too.

Furthermore, the relationship among Seiya as well as Ristarte is a joy to see. The initial season only has 12 episodes long, which could be a short, fun, lighthearted watch. It’s got everything: comedy, action, and great characters. Therefore, the premier season definitely is worth watching.

A plot by a Cautionary Hero

The story is about Seiya Ryuuguuin, who is a hero who is extremely careful about all things. He is summoned to the scene by a novice goddess named Ristarte to protect Gaeabrande from the Demon Lord. Ristarte decides to choose Seiya due to his impressive statistics, but she fails to recognize Seiya’s traits.

Seiya’s character is such that Seiya isn’t willing to go into the most secure places without proper pre-planning and instruction. This behavior often angers Ristarte, however, Seiya is the main character in the story and his caution is confirmed to be true.

Where are We in The Cautious Hero story ?

When season 1 came to an end, the show saw Seiya finally bring his stamp on the Demon Lord. Seiya pulled some powerful moves and was even badly injured in the fight. He was able to open not just one, but two Gates of Valhalla, putting his life in danger.

However, he was saved by the healing powers of Ristarte. At the final moment, Ristarte took his Demon Lord down for good and thus saved Gaeabrande from anarchy. He then says goodbye to his friends before heading back to his home. But, Ristarte’s problems remain unsolved. Her new obstacle is that she is required to save Ixphoria, but this time without any healing powers. In the event she does not succeed, her abilities will be removed from her.

She gets a letter from the hero that will be accompanying her, and that hero is none other than Seiya The Cautious Hero.
