Fans have been waiting almost two years to see Cop Craft again on television. Cop Craft is an anime series that focuses on Japanese action and fantasy. It’s a remake of Range Murata and Shoji Gatoh’s light novel series of a similar title, which was published in 2009 and is still being written with six volumes. Studio Millepensee animated this first season. The first season of the anime aired in July 2019. Cop Craft Season 1: Recap Story

A mysterious hyperspace gate appeared above the Pacific Ocean in our universe fifteen years ago. The gate was opened by fairies, elves, and other amazing creatures who established diplomatic relations with Earth. Today, Earth’s main gateway to the magical, other-side of the gate is Kariana Island and San-Teresa. More than two million non-humans reside within the city and mix with human residents.

This has led to both a prosperous growth of the island and a seedy underbelly full of criminals looking to profit from it. To maintain order in the city, the San-Teresa Metropolitan Police Department was established. 

After a terrible drug bust, Detective Sergeant Kei Mateba is forced to give up both the fairy that was being used as a catalyst and his partner of four years in the Metropolitan Police. He then becomes a Semanian attacker.

Matoba’s hostility towards Semanian people, which he calls aliens, forces him to team up with a Semanian knight in order to locate the fairy that was lost in the drug bust. They consider the fairy to be an important Semanian citizen. Matoba gradually learns to accept the Semanians, while the knight slowly adjusts to Earth and its customs.

Cop Craft Season 2: Renewal Status

Cop Craft is an anime that follows the light-novel series of the same name. Although it stayed true to the source material, it did alter and skip some content. 

This adaptation did not just skip chapters but entire volumes. It was also quite fast in terms of the story’s pace. It used an average of one volume per four episodes. With the current pace, Studio Millepensee now has all three skipped books for Cop Craft Season 2. They have enough books to make another 12-episode installment of anime.

Cop Craft Season 2: The Release Date

Mixed reviews were received for the debut episode of this action-fantasy series. The anime’s brilliant action sequences were praised by both viewers and critics. The storyline is very linear and straightforward. However, the show’s excessive use of animation and CGI made it less enjoyable.

Fans also didn’t enjoy its art style. Cop Craft Season 2 is highly anticipated by viewers, despite its average reviews. They believe it has great potential, as we have already mentioned. The popularity of the anime has convinced the creators to renew it for a second season.

We have not made an announcement in over two years. It seems that they will have to wait the same amount of time again, as the series has yet to be renewed. The chances of the production studio granting a green light for the sequel to this series are very slim. According to this, Cop Craft Season 2 might only be in our imagination.
