Divine Gate was originally a popular game for smartphones that was created by Acquire for iOS and Android in 2013. In the following year, Pierrot Studio developed the anime version of the game which was released on June 16, 2016. Divine Gate itself has the theme of Action, Sci-Fi, and Fantasy.
For the last five years, faithful fans have been waiting for Divine Gate Season 2.
Divine Gate Plot :
The story of the Divine Gate is a myth shared with children of all ages which depicts the merging between the heavens, the earth, and the underworld. “Adapters” are the ones born with special abilities that they were gifted from the union of these realms and formed the World Council, an organization that manages the chaos of the Gate by presenting the legend as just a legend.
The Adapters are trained in an academy that is owned by the World Council that allows the students to sharpen their skills.
Aoto, a teen who has extraordinary water abilities and a tragic history, refuses to attend the school a few times, before Aoto is successfully persuaded by the spirited Wind user Midori and the obstinate Fire user Akane. Together, along with Akane, the World Council and their mysterious leader Arthur, they search for the Gate in hopes of revealing the truth. To achieve their goal, they have to unify and conquer their own despair as they confront hidden snares.

Divine Gate Season 2: Will It Ever Happen?
Divine Gate Season 2 Release Date
Following the conclusion of the season, Pierrot Studios haven’t come out with an official announcement regarding Divine Gate Season 2. The sequel is long-awaited. Pierrot Studios might not renew the series since the source material from the Divine Gate game ended in 2018. The game has no sequels and isn’t being played anymore.
The majority of anime that are based upon video games use them to advertise the game. If the game itself stops expanding, so would the anime. But, we will be on the lookout for any news that there’s an update for Divine Gate Season 2.
