Emi Fukukado, also known as the Smile Hero: Ms. Joke, is a professional actress and a second-year teacher at Ketsubutsu Academy.

Description

Emi is a beautiful young woman with an athletic, muscular body and arms. Emi has sea-green hair that extends just over her shoulders. She has short, curly fringes that have splayed ends, which are covered by a headband. Her eyes are dark green with bright pupils. She always has a warm smile on her mouth.

Her superhero costume is a unisex navy blue shirt that has a high collar buttoned up to the chin. She also wears puffed shorts that have pinstripes of orange and green pattern, and a corset adorned with yellow smileys. Underneath, she has a white V-shaped belt, and on her hand, she wears yellow gloves padded with gold plates on the lower and knuckles, as well as thick metal cylinders and iron arm rings around the wrists.

Also, she wears an orange headband, and her costume often comes with a white sanitary mask. On either side of the mask are two circular shapes with smiley faces.

Personality

Ms. Joke is well-known for her jovial personality. She has a sly sense of humor. She attempted to make Shota Aizawa laugh by demonstrating her quip; however, he was unable to remove her quirk at the right time. She loves laughing at him and finds his tough character amusing, showing her playful and humorous nature.

She fights by making her opponents laugh, which causes them to lose focus, and then finishes them off. It is clear that she can be serious, for instance, in the fight against enemies. Also, she takes her role as a teacher carefully and is aware of her field. This can be seen in her professional remarks during the test to obtain the provisional professional license.

Ms. Joke is a teacher who holds her students in high regard and believes in their talents. She believes that Shota Aizawa isn’t confident in his students since he didn’t explain the precise nature of the test to the students. She believes Shota is more concerned about his students’ success than her own, and believes that all children should have the potential to become great heroes. She appears to be averse to the U.A. high school.
