If you want to read big crossover events and comics like Flashpoint, then TPB is your best bet. Now, let’s look at each TPB you need to read to understand the Flashpoint event in the DC universe.
Flash Rebirth
Flash Rebirth shouldn’t be confused with the 2016 comic book called Rebirth. In Flash Rebirth, we get to see the “rebirth” of the Flash, who is one of the best Silver Age comic book heroes. It follows Barry Allen’s story after he returned in 2008’s Final Crisis crossover. Flash Rebirth also allows us to see what has been going on in Barry’s life.
Flash: The Road to Flashpoint
Flash: The Road to Flashpoint is the first comic book story where Flashpoint is mentioned. This collection includes The Flash 8-12. There are a lot of people who might want to start with this one if they already know a bit about Barry Allen’s background during his “rebirth.” But we recommend that you go with Flash Rebirth first.
World of Flashpoint
Due to the large number of characters in World of Flashpoint’s story, tie-in books are available. World of Flashpoint is the only tie-in that specifically features Flash. This collection includes Grodd of War 1 to 3, Kid Flash Lost 1 through 3, Legion of Doom 1 and 3, Reverse Flash 1 to 3 and Citizen Cold 1 to 3. This book is essential for anyone who is interested in the Flashpoint’s storyline.
Time Masters: Vanishing Point
Time Masters: Vanishing Point has a unique aspect that seems to go well with Final Crisis. It does however have a Flashpoint link, which can make this comic book more interesting for Flash fans. It contains issues 1 through 6. It does contain issues 1 through 6.
Flashpoint
Flashpoint issues 1-5 are all collected in the Flashpoint compilation. It contains the main event. Geoff Johns has written this important part of Flashpoint.
However, it is important to remember that you should still read the books to help you understand Flashpoint and the background stories of all the characters involved. The tie-ins will also be important for understanding the larger narrative of the Flashpoint crossover event.
World of Flashpoint (Superman).
World of Flashpoint Superman focuses on Superman in the very beginning of Flashpoint as Barry Allen awakens to it. The book includes issues 44-47 of Booster Gold, which may be of interest to fans.
World of Flashpoint (Wonder Woman).
World of Flashpoint: Superman is over. You might like to read World of Flashpoint: Wonder Woman. It’s the section where you learn more about Wonder Woman and Aquaman. Here you’ll find the stories of these important characters. The reading order of World of Flashpoint (Wonder Woman) isn’t necessary, but we do recommend that you read it before the next one on this list, although you can interchange them. This book contains Emperor Aquaman 1 through 3, Outsider 1 and 3, Lois Lane, the Resistance 1 and 3, Wonder Woman and Furies 1 and 3.
World of Flashpoint (Batman).
World of Flashpoint (Batman) isn’t actually a part of the entire Batman continuity because it follows a different Batman (no spoilers). As such, it really isn’t important to fans of the Batman storyline, but it is quite important to those who want to understand what happened during the Flashpoint crossover event. This book can be read before or after World of Flashpoint: Wonder Woman. This book contains Batman: Knight of Vengeance 1 through 3, Deadman, the Flying Graysons 1 and 3, Deathstroke and The Curse of the Ravager 1 and 3, and Secret Seven 1 and 3.
World of Flashpoint (Green Lantern).
World of Flashpoint (Green Lantern), is the last part of the entire World of Flashpoint storyline. It includes Hal Jordan 1 through 3, Abin Sur 1 and 3, Frankenstein, and the Creatures from the Unknown 1 and 3, as well as Green Arrow Industries 1.
