Who is Vegeta?
Vegeta is the deuteragonist of the Dragon Ball franchise. He starts as the main antagonist of the Saiyan Saga, but as the story progresses, he becomes one of the heroes of the Z Warriors. He is Bulma’s husband and the father of Trunks and Bulla. Vegeta also has an on & off rivalry with Goku, but they are usually on good terms.
Vegeta’s origins
Vegeta is the prince of an extraterrestrial warrior race known as the Saiyans. He is extremely arrogant, proud and hardworking; constantly referring to his heritage and royal status throughout the series.[3] He believed that he should be regarded as the strongest fighter in the Universe and becomes obsessed with surpassing Goku after losing his first battle with the Z fighters. However, after Frieza’s death, Vegeta unites with the heroes to thwart greater threats to the universe, most notably Cell, Majin Buu, Beerus, Zamasu and Broly. Throughout the series, Vegeta’s role changes from villain to antihero and later as one of the heroes, while remaining a key rival to Goku.
Vegeta has been hailed as one of the most iconic characters not only in the Dragon Ball franchise, but also in manga and anime history as a whole. He is often cited as one of the most popular examples of rival characters in the industry, due to his character arc and narrative throughout Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball Super.

Vegeta’s appearance
Vegeta is a petite but well-built man, measuring in at 164 cm tall. His hair is black, or dark reddish brown depending upon the media. It spikes upwards. Vegeta displays a prominent widow’s peak. He is a Saiyan with sharp, defined eyes. Like other Universe 7 Saiyans, he was born having a prehensile and brown-furred long tail. However, it was permanently removed by Yajirobe.
HOW OLD IS VEGETA?
Vegeta was born in Age 732. This makes him 48 years old when Dragon Ball Super ends in Age 780. This doesn’t include the time he spent in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he spent a total of 5 years.
He will be 53 years old at the end of the Universal Survival Arc. He is as old as he appears, but he was actually born 1 year prior to Yamcha, Bulma, and the same year as Lunch, the long-forgotten side character.
