What is the connection between The Boruto Anime and Manga?

Although the Boruto anime series is different from the Boruto manga, they are considered to be as close as possible to the Naruto universe. The Boruto manga is more canonical than the anime series, but it has more details than the anime. Both the Boruto anime and manga are important.

This may have been a good idea, considering that many fans enjoyed Naruto’s main storyline. This idea is further supported by the fact that Boruto’s anime series frequently refers to details and events that occur in manga, but these events are not actually featured in the anime series.

It also addresses an issue many manga and anime fans face while following a long-running storyline. Many anime creators are faced with the problem of trying to catch up with manga that is often miles ahead. After which, they might have to face another issue: potentially overtaking it.

As a precaution, new Boruto episodes have been created. They are called “filler episodes”. These filler episodes, however, are still considered canon according to the Boruto creators. The Boruto anime does not skip major plot points and arcs that can be found in the manga.

As there is no timeline, we don’t know when the Boruto manga will add in manga arc adaptations. We also don’t know if creators will fully intersect the Boruto forms. Boruto and Naruto fans are eagerly awaiting the day when the Boruto anime episodes will be incorporated into the story.
