Shueisha first announced a television anime series adapting the Kaguya–sama: Love Is War manga in June 2018. Shueisha first announced the series in June 2018. It was directed and written by Mamoru Htakeyama at A-1 Pictures. Yuko Yahiro created characters, Jin Aketagawa was sound director, and Kei Hanseoka provided the soundtrack.

Yutaka Aoyama was responsible for the narration. Twelve 25-minute episodes were distributed across six Blu-ray/DVD discs. It aired in Japan from January 12 to March 30, 2019, on Tokyo MX and BS11, GTV and GYT. Later, it was broadcast on MBS, CTV and TVN. Shueisha announced, at the Young Jump Bunkasa Event on October 19, 2019, the production of a second series under the title Kaguya–sama wa Kokurasetai. : Tensai-tachi no renai zunosen had begun.

The production team was the same and the seiyu retold their roles from the original season. The original broadcast aired on April 11, 2020, on Tokyo MX, GTV and GYT and BS11 and then on TeNY, MBS and MBS. The second season consisted of 12 episodes each of 25 minutes, divided into six Bluray/DVD boxes.

A presentation was held on October 25, 2020. The production of an OVA as well as a third season was announced. Three special episodes were also planned, along with the special edition 22 volume. This manga was released on May 19, 2021. The same production team and cast remained the same for the third season.

The series airs since April 9, 2022, under the title Kaguya–sama wa Kokurasetai –Ultra Romantic – Tokyo MX and Gunma TV. Later, it will be available on MBS, RKB and TeNY.

Aniplex of America holds the license for this franchise. The first season is distributed by Crunchyroll and Hulu and FunimationNow. It is broadcast in America, Australia and New Zealand. The second season was broadcast exclusively by Funimation in North America and the British Isles. AnimeLab also licenses the series in Australia and New Zealand.

Two seasons of the series were broadcast in China by the bilibili platform. Muse Communication is the Southeast Asia license holder.

They both see the correlation between inequalities of love interest and relationships of dominance in a relationship. Each concludes that the one who confesses first will be the “loser” and will eventually be submitted to the other. Their daily lives are filled with plots and other strategies to force each other to confess their feelings.

Funimation and Netflix also picked up the show for the Asian market. We don’t know much, but there are no indications that this will change with a fourth season.

Predictions for Kaguya-sama’s Love is War Season 4 English dub release

Funimation didn’t initially dub the first season of the anime TV show in English. Funimation revealed the Kaguyasama English dub in 2020. They stated that they would first dub the two seasons simultaneously and release them later.

Crunchyroll’s Kaguya–sama: Love is War Season 3 English Dub Release Date was April 22, 2022. This was just a few weeks after the series premiere, which was April 8, 2022.

Based on the Kaguyasama wa Kokurasetai manga series, the anime series? : Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen manga series by creator Aka Akasaka. Kaguya-sama literally means “Kaguya Wants to Be Confessed To: Geniuses’ War Of Hearts And Minds”.

The manga series has been serialized in Shuesha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine from May 2015 and was up to Kaguya-sama Vol 26 as of June 17, 2022.

In the past, there have been four to five new volumes per year. The 26th volume will include Chapter 262.

Two spin-offs of the Kaguya Sama manga were created in 2018. Shinta Sakayama has created the Dojin Edition. G3 Ida has created the second edition, We Want to Talk About Kaguya. This story is about girls who are a part of a newspaper club and idolize the student council, but don’t know what’s really going on behind closed doors.

VIZ Media, a North American publisher, is publishing the English translation of Kaguyasama’s official Kaguya-sama Manga. It is now up to Volume 22, and Volume 23 will be released on August 2, 2022.

Akasaka announced during a live stream in November 2020 that he was paid 100,000 yen per episode. According to current exchange rates, this means that the original creator earns approximately $11,550 USD per episode.

The manga series was in 17.5 million copies as of March 2022. Comparatively, the SPY x FAMILY manga series saw its circulation reach 18 million copies in May 2022.

Warning! The following paragraph contains spoilers. Some events are vaguely formulated.

Following the events of Kaguya–sama Chapter 160 Volume 16, Miyuki was officially able to move their relationship to the next level. This final arc will coincide with the graduation of the classmates from the elite academy. The official timeline shows that Miyuki’s and Kaguya will be graduating from high school soon.

Weekly Young Jump Issue 45 2021 announced in October 2021 that Kaguyasama’s manga was ending. The series had just entered its final chapter. To plan the final act of the manga’s story, Akasaka took a break in May 2021. Akasaka stopped by October for Issue 46. The final story arc was published in Issue 47 on October 21, 2021.

Interviews in 2020 confirmed that the manga was approximately two-thirds done. This means that the last chapter will likely be before Kaguya-sama Chapter 300, even if this earlier estimate is accurate.

Kaguyasama 300, based on the weekly publication rate, would be published in February 2023. It would be great to finish the last chapter on Valentine’s Day 2023 or February 14, 2023.

However, it is possible that the manga might end sooner than expected after the events in Kaguyasama Chapter 261: Kaguyasama Wants To Be Confessed to (no spoilers). It seems likely that the Kaguyasama: Love is War manga’s end could be in the second or third half of 2022.

(Aside note: Kaguya-sama was 18 years old in 2022. She is now a legal adult.

Kaguyasama Season 4 will not be the last season of the anime TV show. Only about half the chapters will be adapted into episodes by the end of the third series. There should be many more seasons, since the average adaptation pace has been three chapters per episode.

Kaguyasama’s anime series is undoubtedly one of the best-executed rom-com manga series adaptations in recent years. However, unlike other manga series, the chapters were not arranged in the correct order, and the story was condensed.

Notably, the earlier manga chapters had self-contained stories. Later manga volumes developed short story arcs. The anime adapts the chapters in the same order.

The timeline of the Kaguya-sama manga is not necessarily determined by the order of chapters. Sometimes, the later volumes provide big flashbacks to the period before rumors about Kaguya’s and Miyuki’s dating started to spread.

The second season was over and romance was blossoming on many levels. If certain students council members would allow it to blossom, this was the beginning of the third season. Miyuki is trying to figure out if Kaguya feels for him. It was therefore not surprising that the third season was labeled Ultra Romantic following the culture festival story arc.

It is predicted that the end of the third season’s finale, Kaguyasama: Love is War Season 3 Episode 13 will reach a stop point similar to manga Volume 14 Chapter 137.

The culture festival arc ends the story with the best ending point. Kaguya uses her lips to express her feelings to Miyuki, instead of using words. Is it possible that she has lost the war of her love because she used a kiss instead of a spoken confession?

Volume 16: Chapter 160 serves as a stopping point for them due to another major shift in their relationship. However, to reach that point it would have been necessary to make the third season two seasons. It is also set in the middle of an ongoing story arc. Thankfully, Kaguya Sama Season 4 will adapt this crucial development from Chapter 160.

There is plenty of material available to immediately start production on Kaguyasama: Love is War Season 4. The manga’s end will enable the anime production committee plan for the rest of the anime TV series.

Kaguyasama anime spoilers (plot summary/synopsis)

Both Kaguya, and Miyuki are now prone to lewd thoughts after the big kiss. Although it may be Christmas, they are filled with all manner of inappropriate emotions.

Kaguya, back at her home, spills all the details to Ai Hayasaka regarding the School Council President asking her for Stanford College in America and how that led to her kissing Miyuki. Hayasaka is shocked when Kaguya admits that their first kiss was a full-on French kiss. (Hence, the hearts covering their mouths.

Hayasaka says, “It’s almost the same as having sex,” and Kaguya is confused when Hayasaka insists on her point (and keeps repeating “sex” to Kaguya’s irritation), Kaguya calls another girlfriend to ask how fast a relationship can develop into physical intimacy.

Kaguya initially responds that it will take two months. Kaguya then asks Kaguya, “How about after French Kissing?” The response changes to “…40 second.” Kaguya is now embarrassed because she fears the President might consider her a “lecherous, nymphomaniac” as she used her tongue for the first kiss.

Miyuki can’t help but think about the intensity of their first kiss and the implications of studying abroad for their relationship. Is Shirogane and Shinomiya now officially a boyfriend/girlfriend? He is unsure because he fears Kaguya might mock him for thinking that they are a couple based on a single kiss.

It would be remiss not to mention the Yuu Ishigami-x Iino ship, which began sailing with Chapter 133.7. Tsubame Koyasu invites Ishigami over to her house for a Christmas date. (Chika Fujiwara is unable to believe it, but everyone agrees that they have known since the sports festival that Ishigami loves Tsubame!)

All these couples will have to examine their emotions and look within. Will they ever openly date?

Is there a Kaguya sama: Love Is War Season 5?

As of now, Kaguya sama: Love Is War‘s future is unknown. We don’t know much about the fourth season at this time, so it’s not clear if we will be seeing the fifth. It has been a great series. The current season won’t adapt the entire manga, which is still being worked on, so that is a positive sign for Kaguya_ Love Is War fans. However, we will have to wait to see how season four progresses before we can learn more about a possible season five. It is possible, however, from this perspective.
