Lupin Part 3 Story
Francois Uzan and George Kay based the story of the mysterious and thrilling series Lupin on Assane Diop. He was inspired by a gentleman thief named Lupin. He’s a professional thief. He is the only son of an immigrant. They have moved from Senegal to France in order to make their lives easier, and especially the life of their son. However, things don’t turn out as they expected. Assane’s father is convicted of high-class theft, including the theft of a diamond necklace.
Hubert Pellegrini, a powerful and wealthy man who happens to also be Assane’s employer, owned the necklace. Assane was framed for the theft and his father was sent to prison. Assane’s father was ashamed of this decision and he committed suicide. His son was left an orphan by this incident. Diop is inspired by a book his father gave him on his birthday after twenty-five years. Arsene Lupin was the gentleman thief who owned the book.
He is inspired by his father’s murder and vows revenge on the Pellegrini family. He uses all of his skills, including his ability to disguise, steal cleanly and quickly, and his charisma to expose the perpetrator. Part 3 is not yet available as no specific information has been released. One thing is clear after watching the series: he’s trying to disappear, but not with a bang. He never does anything simple. He will disguise himself again, but all his possessions will disappear. You will get an adrenaline rush if you catch part 3 of the series.
Lupin Season 3 Release date
George Kay, the series’ co-creator, spoke to Radio Times just before the renewal of Lupin part 3. He said that they expect a new season in 2022. Lupin may not be as popular as Netflix’s other non-English series like Money Heist and Squid Game, but the French mystery-thriller series has a loyal following since the release of its first two parts. Lupin Part 1 premiered in January 2021. There were five episodes total. Netflix announced in April that the drama was viewed by more than 70 million households during its first month on the streaming platform.
According to Netflix, “Now in hiding, Assane must learn to live away from his wife and son. With the pain they endure because of him, Assane can’t take it anymore and decides to return to Paris to make them a crazy proposal: leave France and start a new life elsewhere. But the ghosts of the past are never far away, and an unexpected return will upset his plans.”
Lupin Part 3 production updates
While the second season focused on the main story, there is still much to tell. Lupin season 3 is already in production. Omar shared a tweet in November 2021 that showed that production for Lupin part 3 had started. Netflix launched the trailer in September 2022.
Lupin Part 3 plotline
Lupin loosely draws inspiration from Maurice Leblanc’s Arsene Lupin Gentleman Thief novels. Assane Diop is a professional thief who was the only child of immigrant parents. He was wrongly accused of theft by Hubert Pellegrini, his powerful and wealthy employer. Fast forward 25 years, and Assane has set his sights on revenge against the Pellegrini family. He uses his charisma, mastery of subterfuge, thievery and disguise to expose Hubert’s crimes.
Variety reported that George Kay said he would “create a new adventure” that would take Assane forward and unsettling him further. He said that he wanted to keep the story in Paris and would continue to unravel Assane’s history. Kay also stated that at one point, Radio Times asked him to speak honestly and he said, “There have been [discussions]. I have some ideas that are circling that area that I am interested in exploring.

He said: “The Arsene Lupin fanbase which is evident within the show would have to lock antlers with the Sherlock Holmes fanbase. You want to take it up to a really meta-level. It would be great to have that level of fun, and we have not discussed it. EW was told by Omar Sy that Lupin had a lot to offer when you read the books.
“But he had Benjamin as his one and only, so he needed people. He hires them just like he did with Philippe Courbet. It was very interesting to have this. It’s going to be even more fun if there is a large cast of people. “Because you can’t do it all by yourself, the thing is being the mastermind. He is able to bring people along. It was great to have that. It’s a great aspect of Lupin, I think.”
Lupin Part 3 cast
We expect most of the key characters to return to their roles in Lupin part 3. This includes Omar (Assane Diop), Antoine Gouy, Etan Simon (Raoul), Ludivine Sagnier (Claire), and Soufiane Guerrab.
In the third installment, Herve Pierre (Hubert Pellegrini), Vincent Londez (Captain Romain Laugier), Shirine Boutella (Lieutenant Sofia Belkacem), Vincent Garanger (Gabriel Dumont), Stefan Crepon (Philippe Courbet) and Clotilde Hesme (Juliette Pellegrini), are all expected to be back.
