Poker Face Part 1: Ending Recap

Sterling says no and insists that he will handle everything. Cliff can be seen taking out a revolver from a locker and driving to Jerry’s and Natalie’s house. He then kills him. Natalie is also shot to death as soon as she enters the house.

Cliff puts Jerry’s gun in Jerry’s hand and gets into a car to notify Sterling that the task has been completed. The junior Frost then disconnects from the phone and continues a conversation off-screen with a woman.

Charlie Cale lives alone in a trailer. Her morning routine involves opening a beer outside her mobile house and sipping it while she tans. John-O, her friend, is a con artist. She seems perfectly content living as she is. Charlie, a tabloid news fan, announces to Natalie that there is a ring of Russian dark websites hosting underage pornography.

While entering the hotel, the metal detector repeatedly hits the women. It turns out that Natalie was struck by Jerry’s husband and had to wear sunglasses. He was apparently sending sexually explicit photos to other women. Natalie discovered this via iCloud and he attacked Natalie. Charlie quickly catches her lying and she says that she has expelled him from their house.

Charlie, who is serving drinks on the casino floor, is called upstairs to Sterling Jr.’s bedroom. She immediately assumes that she’s being fired. Sterling tells the story about a young woman who was unbeatable at poker games. No matter how high the stakes, she would always win. So when the woman arrived at Frost Sr.’s casino he watched her for two consecutive days until he discovered the trick. Frost Sr. blackballed her from all the casinos in the USA, and hired her to serve drinks on the casino’s floor.

She didn’t use any cheats such as wires or shills. Charlie was the woman in question. She lived a high-life lifestyle for a while and is now content with her current situation. Sterling then reveals the secret to her: she is a human lie detector and can tell when someone lies. He offers Sterling a job where she can use her skill to detect a lie for the casino. This will allow her to make more than she ever imagined.

Natalie’s husband enters the casino, making a scene, asking for his wife. Cliff and security guards then arrive. Before the husband gets drunk, the Head of Security places Jerry’s revolver on his table. Natalie stays the night in Charlie’s trailer. Sterling and Natalie watch Kazimir Caine in action at the casino the next day. Sterling claims that Caine is operating his private game from his hotel room, not in the casino. The manager of the hotel asks Charlie to go into his private game and learn from his lies.

To keep Charlie secret, he promises to set up a video system. Sterling receives a call from Charlie and sends him away. However, Sterling then gets to meet Cliff and Natalie, and the episode’s first sequence begins. Charlie notices that Natalie missed her call and calls back. Sterling calls back, and while they are discussing the plan, Cliff rings him. He tells him that Natalie and her husband were being killed. She accepts his offer of $1.5 million and he leaves within 48 hours.

Charlie awakens to discover the news about Natalie’s death and her husband in the tabloids. Another employee at the casino tells Charlie she saw Natalie leaving around 8 p.m., and that she was upset. Officials try to break into Natalie’s locker but an employee gives them a code and they can unlock it easily.

Sterling tries to explain to Charlie how cameras will fit in Caine’s bedroom to allow him to see his expressions. But she cannot shake the memory of Natalie. She confesses to having spoken with Nat’s manager Louise. However, she said she didn’t clock in and left at 8 p.m. Sterling is upset and tells Charlie to concentrate. To make the lamps undetectable, she suggests adding cameras to them. While talking with her officer, she notices a photo of Jerry holding the gun in his hands.
